Positively Izzy (Emmie & Friends)

Fun book for kids and those of us who never grew up
I bought this for my daughters (grades 4 & 6). I started reading it and it is really fun. My 10 year old described it as “awesome, with a cool ending.” This is a great companion to Invisible Emmie, which our daughters also enjoyed. As a graphic novel, it is written in a very relatable style for any middle schooler or future middle schooler. Former middle schoolers will enjoy it, too. Anyone who has been through (survived?) middle school can find a favorite character or two or three. Enjoy!

Amazing book!!!! 😍😁😘🤩
This book is so good. It’s about a two girls one is named Brianna and the other is Izzy. Both are very different. Brianna is very smart and only cares about her schoolwork. Izzy is interested in acting and has a crazy imagination and she’s not very good in school. If you read this book you will see how these two people have a relationship together. Thank you for reading this review. 😍🤩😘🥳😁😍😇🤓

Libenson is “positively” great!
Middle grade graphic novels are my not-so-secret guilty pleasure. One of my absolute favorites is Invisible Emmie, which I read in 2017. When I learned that Libenson had a new graphic novel coming out, I immediately put myself on the library hold list last summer but never got around to reading it! When it was on sale a few months ago, I snapped up the Kindle edition; what a great buy!Like her first novel, Libenson tackles another adolescent topic: labels. Sometimes it’s nice to be known as “the brain” or “the drama girl” but these can prove to be too confining. There are plenty of things that we can be interested in and even excel at outside of our comfort zone. That’s always a positive takeaway even for adults. I also liked how the author carried the dual narrators into this novel as well. Hoping she’ll have something new for us this summer!

Great gift
My 10y/o niece wanted these books for Christmas. I bought all four in the series and my brother reported that she devoured all 4 books in one night and has started reading them again from the beginning! Always glad to encourage reading at any age!

My daughter absolutely loves this book
My daughter absolutely loves this book. She preferred Invisible Emmy, but really enjoyed this one too. She's 8.5 and a little precocious but hasn't been super excited about reading. These books are like heavily illustrated chapter books or graphic novels, which she finds less intimidating to read, as dense text just puts her off. Highly recommend this book for anyone with a budding reader who is trying to move on from the very unchallenging easy reader stuff.

A sweet one to read
Ok, I would totaly recommend this book to 11 and 12yrs old girls 'coz it tells the story of two individual charecters....So it's like a two in one. Do read this book and the illustrations are really realistic like someone wrote and drew it. This is sure an good read. Prepare to enjoy! :)

why I love this book
It is an amazing book with an original plot. I feel this book helps me feel like I am both Izzy and Bri. The style is really intruging especially for fans of diary series like: Tom Gates, Dork Daries, Dary of the wimpy kid and Percy Jackson. But this book is ne of a kind. I loe how both are facing their own challenges: Izzy trying to exceeded her mum's expectations and Bri whi is trying to step out of her comfort zone. I would recommend this book to many people and Terri Libenson is an amazing authoress.

Twisted Ending
Wait, so is.... ok I think I figured it out. So Izzy in the book likes to act, Brianna's Mum is the drama teacher. Both Izzy's have 2 sisters, a smart hardworking one and a layed back. It never did really show Brianna and Child Izzy meating eachother right? nor did they show that they saw eachothers shows at te talent show, brianna just said we have to follow that? Nordid Brianna and her friends meet Izzy. And some guy that looked like Tyler said his name was Bob. Was it just going back and forth in time but didnt tell us? and Izzy is really Brianna's Mum!
