Well acted and brilliantly produced, this is a film with a difference with a wonderful twist that is unexpected. A real must-see.

Whatever you do, don't read the description on Amazon, contains spoilers!!!
Vantage Point is an a great movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat! The concept is unique, with the story being told from multiple perspectives, which makes for an unpredictable and gripping viewing experience. The film does a fantastic job of building tension as the different 'vantage points' reveal more pieces of the puzzle. It's a clever way to keep viewers guessing and to slowly unveil key information as the story progresses. However, it’s a real shame that Amazon’s movie description gives away a major plot point! The synopsis reveals a twist that, if kept under wraps, would have made the movie even more surprising. I would recommend going into the film blind to fully experience the impact of that twist, so be cautious when reading the description on here.Despite this, I still thoroughly enjoyed Vantage Point. It’s a great and under rated movie. Just try to avoid spoilers before watching!

Interesting manipulation of a story
This film has some clichés in it and a couple of ridiculous moment but they're a lot of fun and overall this is great. It also has an interesting epilogue that could be interpreted as mocking the cliches. The narrative structure is interesting and really enjoyable and the acting has some great moments. I also use it to teach students about the use of structure in stories and they're usually gripped. Definitely worth a watch (and don't believe that you need a rogue Jason Bourne to come in and save the day - try to enjoy a wider variety of films instead).

WHY DO IT?
The flashback redo from another point of view sometimes works good, if it is not overdone, like it was in this movie. Sigourney Weaver gives a very convincing performance as a news producer. When the reporter was knocked to the ground and appeared to maybe be dead, who was filming her for the news? Isn't there some point where the camera man must put the camera down and help out? This would have been a great movie had they simply did the thing with a plot and subplot in a chronological sequence, focusing on the character of the secret service agent, rather than play "Groundhog's Day" with it. Dennis Quaid? That was the best they could get? The flashback redo sequence served no real purpose. This would have been an even better film if a rouge Jason Bourne was the guy who came in and saved the President and then slipped out.
