Sturdy feeling, nice quality
I had a set of Tweezermen tools that I had for years - a very expensive set. At the time I complained about the price... but here I am 15+ years late and just now deciding I might like a new set.... This set is a very nice, quality set. The instruments are sharp and solid... not cheapy or "tinny" feeling... Have to admit I have no idea or use for the pokey sticks... but they are also sturdy and heavy. I think the scissors are "nose hair" trimmers as they are rounded at the ends... don't need those either, but they too are a nice quality. The case looks and feels like fine black leather and has a very sturdy zipper. The case itself is about 4" x 5" (guesstimate) and about 1" thick when closed. The instruments are held in place by either and/or both a snap closure and/or an elastic strap. Everything stays were it's supposed to be. I tiny bit tricky the first time you pull them out, but easy afterwards. They arrived quickly and in excellent condition along with some other items I had ordered (I have prime)I will update immediately if there are any wear or other issues. I would consider buying this brand again.

Worth the purchase
Just received this item last week. I have yet to use it, but after inspection it does have quality construction. I particularly was pleased that the kit contains everything for a good mani/ pedi. The nail file is etched metal, not the textured "metal appearance" that is glued on as the case with most metal nail files sold in the U.S. For women (or men), this kit is a fraction of the total lifetime cost for salon mani/pedis. It is good to know that everything is manufactured and sourced in one location, Seki, Japan. Although it may seem pricey ($67), this is a one time purchase that will last decades, if not a lifetime. I will update this review after using the utensils a few times.3/13/16I have now used all of the implements and they are perfect!!! The nail file works most effectively, one way. Meaning the pic side needs to be pointed away from the body and pushed forward. For a moment I thought it was defective, it's not. As with all of the other reviews, these implements are sharper than what is purchased at the drug store, which is not an issue for me.

This kit in my view is a little over priced ...
This kit in my view is a little over priced. There are several other kits on the maker with the same basic tools & quality but with a much lower price. It will serve my needs but just a little dissatisfied with the price that I paid.

Best nail kit I've owned
This is the best nail set I've owned, but it's not perfect. I chose this set because of the selection of tools it contains. This is one of the few premium sets that has a cuticle nipper, which is something I desired. After using a few times, here are my take-aways:Pros: The case seems to be built well and smells of leather. The clippers/nippers are the sharpest I've worked with and feel quality. The pushers/scrapers also feel like quality tools with good heft.Nuetral: The tweezers look like generic, unbranded tweezers, but grip hair well, much better than expected from appearance. The scissors are sharp but a thin and can bend easily from minimal force.Con: I found the nail file grit to be too aggressive, which doesn't leave my nails feeling smooth. The cuticle nipper did not come with a protective cover, so I worry the edge may get damaged at some point.I will probably swap out the nail file and scissors with others at some point and find a cover for the cuticle nipper, but keep everything else. With all that said, I still recommend this set to anybody looking for a premium nail kit. Also note, this set was intended for the Japanese market, so most of the wording on the package is in Japanese. Also, the packaging isn't as premium as the product itself. Lastly, any branding that I could read on the product was labeled Green Bell (Seki Edge is the US brand to Green Bell)

Expected more. Honest review.
I am not too impressed with the quality of the set for the amount of money it costs. The cuticle clipper is not very sharp. I expected more. The nail clipper is good, the nail file is good, and other instruments are solid, but the cuticle clipper allows much to be desired. I ordered a more expensive German set. Will let you know how it compares.

The Seki Edge Grooming Kit:is the Best Set We've Ever Purchased!
The Seki Edge Craftsman 9-piece Grooming Kit is the very best set we have ever purchased! The handsome zippered, leather-like case looks and feels like leather, but, better, because the PU material used for the case withstands bathroom moisture and water. The tools carry the weight of the most expensive groomers, and their brushed finishes offer understated elegance. While the set is not inexpensive, the sharply edged tools and apparent durability suggests you'll only need one set a lifetime. The Seki kit was shipped directly from Japan and arrived two days after our order was placed (in accordance with Amazon Prime policies). We could not be more pleased with our Seki purchase!

Life Altering? Maybe. Amazing Quality? Absolutely!
Just an excellent set. I really wished I had purchase this years ago. For the first time in my life, I have the right tools for the job. Everything in the set in beautiful and the sharpened instruments are very sharp and there is no flex when using. Every gentlemen needs a set of this quality. Ladies, this may not be appreciated at first as a gift, but once used, he will change his mind!

Perfect graduation gift that will last a lifetime
I don't know why parents don't give these to kids moving out. A simple gift that will serve a lifetime. I replaced the tweezers with Seki Edge Smart tweezers and the clipper with a rounded tip model also from Seki Edge. I added a Seki Edge curved nail file and a AAA LED flashlight to mine. The case is well made and the zipper is quality YKK made. Everything is well made, sharp and precise. I gave a bunch of Seki Edge kits as presents and everybody loves them. I find I don't use the clippers much after getting used to the curved bladed cutters. The built in file on the underside of the clipper handle is a great bonus.
