Budget-Friendly Cable That Works with Techstream v18 and GTS+
I needed a J2534 cable that wouldn’t cost a fortune but still worked with Toyota’s diagnostic software. This one had good reviews and seemed like a safe bet for DIY work. No problems at all. It works with both Techstream version 18 and the new GTS+ software without any issues. I was able to run diagnostics, clear codes, and access full vehicle settings.

Fully Compatible with Techstream V18 on Win11 – Programmed Keys & Remote for 2020 Toyota Sienna
I purchased this cable to use with Techstream for my Toyota Sienna LE 2020, and overall, I’m very satisfied with the product. The package arrived with the Mini VCI cable and a disc that included both Techstream versions 17 and 18. I followed the instructions provided on the disc (a video guide) and successfully installed version 18 on a Windows 11 laptop. Setup was straightforward, though I did have to temporarily disable my antivirus during installation to avoid interference — this was clearly explained in the instructions.Once installed, the software recognized the cable and connected to the vehicle without any issues. I was able to program a new alarm remote and two H-type physical keys, all purchased separately on Amazon. The keys had to be physically cut, which cost me $1.90 per key at a local hardware store. All features tested so far worked flawlessly. For the price, this tool delivered exactly what I needed for basic diagnostics and key/remote programming. Highly recommended for DIY users familiar with Techstream.

Use at your own risk.
The ODBII reader was ok but the TechStream installation software is full of Ransomware and Viruses. Not worth risking your data and pc for a cheap solution. Buy at your own risk

Works with Toyota Techstream v18 with some tweaks.
This cable does indeed work with Toyota Techstream v18 and I have used it on a 2020 Lexus NX 300. However, the setup is a bit tricky but thanks to the other reviews on here, I found a way to make this reliably work.First, you can search online for an OVA image file that someone has out there for Toyota Techstream v12 running on Windows XP. You will use this as the base image for your virtual machine. The reason for this is that you'll want to use a 32-bit operating system only!I could never get the MVCI drivers to work on a 64-bit operating system (such as Windows 10) so I gave up and decided to use something older like Windows XP where it can be 32-bit.Once you deploy the Windows XP OVA file into a virtual machine, you will then want to uninstall the existing Techstream v12 and then install Techstream v18 - which can also be found if you search online. The base OVA image file also has MVCI Firmware installed, with drivers, which will already work with this cable on Techstream v18. Because of this, you do not need to mess around with other MVCI drivers online, or the one they include on the CD with this cable. Before launching Techstream, make sure you have the cable plugged in and that your virtual machine recognizes it. Check the virtual machine device manager to verify as well. The 'MVCI Fireware Update Tool' from the OVA file also has a tester to recognize the cable and the driver used.Once this is all done, you'll be able to reliably use this cable with the Windows XP virtual machine for years to come, even with some of the newest Toyota & Lexus models! Just make sure to disable your virtual network adapter to keep the virtual machine exposed to accessing the internet once all set.Hope this helps!

Works great for 2005 Camry - got to watch the video. well made.
Works perfectly. Watch the video. He includes a sheet where you can email him for the drivers if the cd doesn't work. I had an old portable dvd player i was able to rip the contents from. Driver installation is slightly convoluted, but thats because this cable shouldnt even be working with windows 11, but it does, thank God.Installed drivers and it fired right up and detected my 2005 Camry. WATCH THE VIDEOI cant speak to the quality of the quality of the other software included, I am using a version specifically for the laptop I have.

Essential Tool for Every Car Enthusiast
The CTobd Mini Vci J2534 Cable has been a game-changer for me! As someone who enjoys working on cars, this compact tool makes diagnostics so much easier. It functions as described. The build quality is amazing. Great value for your money. I had an issue with my Toyota 4Runner with the collision avoidance system and I was able to recalibrate with this tool.

Flimsy cable that keeps disconnecting.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Wanted to use this cable in order for my new abs pump/brake booster on 2012 prius. This cable single handedly made an already painfully long job even more painful. I had to bleed my prius 3 times, each time starting from the top. Each time it would disconnect at different times of the bleeding process. I eventually just cleared the codes and hoped that the brakes had bled enough and no air was present. I later used the professional cable with no issues. I wouldn't use this if you are doing anything similar. Get a better cable.
