This is a pair of thumbguards, and they come in a small card box. The presentation is definitely lacking, looking very generic. On the plus side there is no waste plastic.These are perfectly ordinary silicone rubber guards. They work fine and are easy to use. They absorb a lot of the impact of batting, and can be used for other sports as well.They seem quite strong and rigid and should last many years.I can give these five stars as they do what they claim and the price is reasonable.

This is a set of two thumb guards, one thicker and the other thinner, in a stretchy black rubber. Personally I ordered them for use in conjunction with gardening tools, particularly a machete I use to clear stubborn undergrowth, thinner branches and the like which has rather a hard and square handle and so benefits from the extra cushioning, the guards work as well in this use as I imagine they do for their stated purpose. They do seem a little on the expensive side for what you actually get however, so mileage may vary.

I have never tried anything like this for baseball or rounders but it makes a positive difference to the gripping pressure and prevents blistering/pain in my hands. It does take a while to adjust but once you get used to it, it feels like second nature. The rubber feels pliable, thick and hard wearing with a choice of a thick or thin pad. I prefer the thin pad which suits my smaller hands and gives me more feel than the thick pad.

First to note is that the softball bat is my own and doesn’t come as part of the package of two thumb assists.They are comfortable and absorb the thud from a hit as it transfers into your hand. If you were to hit many balls in a training regime then this little gadget would be a must.

Good grip, comfortable when getting use to it.Thin pad feels much better then big one.As a training equipment it does the job.It should last forever.
