Love this machine and I'm a bucket filler!
Little background in case someone else is in my same position... I live in a big city, in a studio apt, on an upper floor... in a big old apt building.. AND I'm bucket filling! My faucets are all modern and weird shaped so there no adapter for me to plug my hose into. If you find your self in my position, you will need a rolling cart (bought on amazon) a doubled over yoga mat (to roll the cart and machine onto to absorb some sound) some high efficiency laundry detergent (I use 3 table spoons of old school Dr. Bonners and it works great!) A 5 gallon bucket and a little patience. There's a guy on here that goes into great detail in his review about how to do it for bucket fillers. His review helped me so I wont go into it here. So search all reviews for "bucket" and I'm sure you will find it. I will say, after about 3 washes, you will get the hang of it.I was sick of spending $5+ to wash and dry in my buildings laundry room. For one, its gross, other people are gross and their laundry and whatever they leave behind in the bottom of the washer is gross. Plus I was sick of it not working right and losing many quarters in the process.I did ALOT of research. I settled on this black and decker model and decided to get one size up from the smallest model. I am soooooo glad I did. The smallest is a little too small. Next size up is perfect for one active person that generates a moderate amount of laundry. The machine is quiet! It generates the same amount of sound as a modern dishwasher.Get yourself one of those little pop up wooden drying racks and you will be set. The clothes spinner works so well on this machine that the clothes come out only damp anyway...win! After I am done washing, I'll leave the machine out with the lid open for a day or so to make sure it completely dries out inside.. then I just roll it into my closet to store it out of sight.Use your common sense about water levels and not over filling and make sure you understand water displacement and drain it into something that can handle the amount of water coming out...that you put in.IMPORTANT FOR BUCKET PEOPLE: This freaked me out at first because I did not see this written anywhere.. when you go to fill your machine, you will pour the water in and it will disappear. This sketched me out because I dumped a fair amount of water in and it went down into the basin but no water was in it. I ran around the unit like some kind of stupid cartoon character thinking it was leaking out the back. It wasn't. There appears to be some kind of reserve under the basin that the machine uses at some point during the the wash. So once that fills up, your basin will begin to fill up. So chill out, you dont need to call customer service. It's fine. ALSO, BEFORE YOU START FILLING ANYTHING, make sure your drainage hose is placed properly in the appropriate place first or you will probably find yourself in big trouble with your landlord.

I PROMISE, THE MONEY IS WORTH IT!!!
** I was suspicious at first BUT THIS WASHER PROVED ME WRONG*** I live in an apartment 2 bed 1.5 bath. This washer fits perfectly inside of .5 bath and the closet that I store it in. It was bigger than I thought, but it fits my queen sheets and queen comforter in it perfectly. The settings are amazing for this washer. If you need to pause it and accidentally hit the off button, the sensor in the washer knows not to overfill it. It will start from the beginning is the only thing. The water hook up to the sink adapter fit perfectly (it is included with the washer.) If you are worried about this I would run to your local hardware store, its pretty easy to find another adapter. You can use cold or warm water with cold water hose. You don’t even need a hose to fill it, you could use jugs of water but you have to fill it until the sensor tells you there is enough water. It makes the same sounds as a normal washer. It’s not too loud. The washer rings out the clothes really well. Literally the exact same as a normal size washer. I got to 2 year protection plan just in case but I have no leaks as of right now. The lint trap is really useful. It catches so much lint. (I have two dogs) If you are worried about your sink clogging you can always put a panty hose at the end to catch the extra security but the water is clear with no lint every time I observed it draining. Just make sure your drain is not slow flowing because it pushes out a lot of water at one time. You could drain it in the toilet or a tub rather than a sink. I highly recommend buying a dolly. It is very heavy for one person to move round the house. I wouldn’t leave this washing unattended due to the drainage hose. Just make sure something heavy is propped up on top of it or you tape it down when in use. Also, the plug is a three prong plug. Don’t worry that you are keeping the facet on the entire duration of the wash, the water does stop when not in use of the washers function. Overall I see me keeping this for a long time. Even if I were to move into another apartment, it is easy for me to hook up to a regular washer and dryer hook up. If you are having doubts about buying this, I wouldn’t. It is worth the money. It seems like it will last a few years. The money for laundry mat gets expensive it evens out in the end. You are able to do your own clothes in your apartment and not have to take extra trips. Plus there is always a risk people will steal your clothes at a laundry mat or even in your apartment building. I don’t notice a difference in my water or electricity bill. It’s that cheap! There is a sticker that comes with it that says how much it will cost. Igor the 1.6 and my estimate is 9 dollars for the year.

Works well, my only frustration is the control panel
I just used this washer for the first time since ordering it. It washes well and the size is good, almost the size of a full size regular washer, I got the 2.0 cubic feet model. My only frustration with the unit is the control panel, it's a bit confusing to use and lets say you choose a small load for low water level and cold water, then as soon as you switch the washing mode then it automatically changes the load size and water temperature, this is really frustrating. I wish it would just stay set regardless on what washing mode is used.I only use one input hose connected to my faucet and control the temperature from the faucet, so I would prefer to just have it where it stays set on that input I use, but when it changes then the washer doesn't work since the other water input is not connected, as I don't want multiple hoses going to my faucet, especially when I can control the temperature from my faucet. So this is my only complaint with the unit. Unfortunately I think the confusion on operating it is going to scare my mom away from using it, so likely I'll still need to go get quarters for her which I was hoping to avoid.Maybe I can buy an adapter that can connect both the hot and cold inputs so I can use one hose still and it can work in any temperature mode. I think i'll do that.I didn't want to give it 4 stars, but I wouldn't really give it 5 stars either due to the control panel issue, but I say it's 4.5 stars.
