Simple but very effective
When stripping awg28 PTFE wire, it makes a job quick and as precise as you want, works very well and easy.

Surprisingly good!
This is cheap enough that it was worth just buying to see if it was any good, and as I discovered it's actually pretty good at doing its job. Crimps such as the JST PH series have a small contact area for the conductor, so it's somewhat important to remove just enough to allow the terminal to line up with that part of the crimp, and also the jacket, the jacket crimp being most important because it's what gives the mechanical stability to the crimp. It turns out that you generally need about 1mm of exposed core, I had been using side cutters and gentle pressure to strip these cables, but even if you're careful you can make mistakes rather easily, so this as a product intrigued me. It simply bolts onto the engineer wire cutters (I used a nylon washer the nut side just to protect the stripper, it's easy to adjust using a thumb screw, you then push your cable in until it makes contact and the perform the strip. Works every time and gives you good consistency, which is important in harnesses as you want the same length leads otherwise you have touble with the cable. As you can see from the photos, I measured the stripped cable against the depth of the cut and they're pretty accurate, more than enough for me. This is also cheap, so there's nothing to lose really. Definitely recommend getting one of these (or more if you have multiple strippers!)

Well made, as with all products from Engineer of Japan - just wish the distance didn't mean premium prices but let's face it: you do get what you pay for, most times and this rule certainly applies here. Does the job with precise style.

Great little gizmo!
Bought this recently from another shop as it was on offer and it's a great little gizmo. I'm just about to start making custom PC PSU extension cables and I need the strip to be the exact same length on each cable. Most other wire cutters (automatic and manual) either don't have a way to get the same strip length or they start at a minimum of 5mm, I need 3mm, I'm happy to say these work great at that small length. Worth getting if you need repeatable results.

A must have
Definitely buy this as well as your wire strippers. Makes the job of getting accurate stripped lengths a doddle and repeatable.

These are great for building a dozens and dozens of identical cables since you don't have to be careful to get the same length of insulation stripped each time. UPDATE: Older versions had a metal headed screw. Newer versions now have a plastic one...not as good.

Nice attachment to my PA-09 stripper. I can use an appropriate sized allen key to set the amount of strip. i.e 2.5mm, 3mm, etc. Mine came with a nylon headed thumb screw unlike the pictured metal head. When I saw this listing I thought about 3d printing one but just decided to make the purchase and I have no regret.

Very expensive for a piece of stamped metal. Plastic knob on the adjusting screw
