Steve Silver Company Nelson Lift-Top Cocktail Table, 48 inches, Oak

This is a fabulous lift top coffee table. I have had mine for two years now and it's still like new. It's well made, easy care, and very good looking. The edges are rounded so there is no danger of running into a sharp edge, it is easy to raise and lower the top, but not so easy you have to worry about it lowering too fast, and it's easy care, just some spray furniture polish and a soft rag. The finish is a lot more durable than I thought it would be. After two years, no water marks (though most of the time we use coasters to be safe), and just two tiny shallow scratches, hardly viewable. We make a point not to sit on it, as I'm told lift tops come apart easy. This table is very sturdy, very beautiful and affordable. It's a little more than the mdf lift tops, but so worth every extra penny. The lift top is so convenient as well. We use it for meals, use of our laptops, jigsaw puzzles, and paperwork. I highly recommend this coffee table if you're looking for sturdy, lasting, easy care, and beautiful.

I don't normally spend the time to write reviews, but this table deserves it. Wow! This is a fantastic table! The quality is excellent, the look is elegant, and the finish is quality. In a furniture store, this table would easily have a $500 sticker price. The instructions that came with it, well....they weren't. They don't actually describe how to assemble the table. It's pretty easy to figure out, though, as there's really only one way things can go. There are felt-lined drawers on both front, and back of the table. There are retainer latches to keep the lift-top from being opened (to keep children from pinching fingers). The finish isn't the most heavy duty, but it falls in line with the price, and still looks amazing. I would recommend having 2 people to assemble it, but it's possible to do solo.Overall, I'm incredibly happy with this table, and it's an absolute steal for the quality and elegance!

Arrived in good condition.Fairly easy to put together, basically you just need to attach legs. But you need an extra set of hands.Table is large, heavy and sturdy. Real wood, not particle board.I did not use included wheels but put felt rounds under each leg as we don’t have a carpet under it.Top lifts up fairly easy and stays up at any position.Handy storage compartments under top, large shelf on lower level and 2 small drawers on each side.Getting compliments on it. May be a tad larger than I was expecting but overall very satisfied with it.

This is a nice looking coffee table and assembly by myself was under an hour. There are a couple of blemishes, see picks. I bought this because i found my self slouching on the old scratched up coffee table.Assembly- The table top and lifting mechanism are already assembled. There are four legs used to attach the bottom of the table to the top. I attached the legs to the bottom first, then the top, when placing the top on which is actually two pieces that are joined together by the lifting mechanism, there are two locks/releases that keep the actual top from lifting/separating. You have to release them in order to raise the top and put the screws in, I used some pillows to hold the whole top section up while I screwed the top to the legs, see pic. There are two drawers, one on each side, the 360 degree view on the webpage only show one drawer. The knobs are inverted in the drawers for packaging purposes and you have to open the drawers and remove them, then reinstall correctly.Shipping- Great, this arrived within a couple of days, four days earlier than scheduled.Sturdy- Once put together it is pretty sturdy/solid, with the top raised you can lean on, it does tip slightly and to much leaning will cause it to tip, you can still eat off it. Lifting is pretty smooth with some creaking in the springs, i am guessing because it is new.Packaging- It came well packaged and was over packed(put in another box) with extra packing.Dimension- 48x18x26, raised about 27"I also had a lock washer missing, not a big deal. if it wasn't for the two blemishes, i would have given more stars.

I LOVE this table!! It arrived way before I expected. Box had a few tears but didn't affect the inside at all. Safely packaged and only one spot on the underside edge had a slight issue, which I applied a tiny bit of wood glue to. Took my son-in-law & daughter less than an hour to assemble as the lifting mechanism was already installed right out of the box! Very sturdy when the top is up. Normal leaning on it is stable. Fairly easy to move on my shag rug but stays in place when you lift the top. I am very happy with the table and the top design is pretty. Also has 2 slide out drawers.

I am redecorating my living room on a budget. I bought this table based on customer feed back and price. It was shipped promptly and arrived in undamaged condition. I received it just today, found it easy to assemble by myself, just eight bolts and four casters (if you choose to use them). The table is very attractive, sturdy and the lift top works flawlessly. A couple of drawers and a couple of compartments for storage. Packaging is the good news and the bad news. The good news is that it would be almost impossible to damage the table in transit, the bad news is that you have a ton of cardboard and styrofoam to dispose of. I prefer not to buy Chinese made goods, but at $230 this coffee table was too good to pass up.

I absolutely love this table. It is a perfect tray table to snack on while watching Tv. It is sturdy and stable. It looks fantastic has two storage drawers along with a lot of space underneath. Nothing not to like about this table. Was super easy to assemble. It was awkward to move and heavy when it arrived in the box so having someone to help you move it would be helpful. But you will be using it in less than 20 minutes from opening the box. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!! And just so you know I don’t do that often
