Tommy Hilfiger Men's Classic Solid Textured Stripe Tie

I was looking for a simple black tie for funerals, and it is surprisingly difficult to find a good option as many ties are too shiny, or too busy for a somber occasion. This black tie has a perfect sheen to it, shiny enough without seeming "cheap." The alternating grid/self-stripe texture is also nice, subtle and elegant. The material makes for a nice clean knot, and dimples easily as a good tie should. I looked into alternatives from J Press, Brooks Brothers, and other well-known brands, but this inexpensive tie was a great alternative to much pricier options.

I’m writing about the black option. My husband raised an eyebrow when I got him a Tommy Hilfiger tie. He associates the brand with younger people, but this tie is appropriate for all styles and ages. The diangal stripes are sharp looking, but also subtle enough to be missed. From a distance, the tie can be mistaken for a plain solid color. But up close (or in the right light), the stripes offer a nice accent. Based on the pictures, I imagine other colors might have the stripes stand out more but I can’t speak to that.The length is pretty standard. Nothing worse than a tie that’s too short. This tie goes great with a navy suite.

This tie was good material and pattern. The color went perfect with a navy suit. Been using it with various color suits. It may run a little short for bigger people.
