Louisville Bedding Company Cotton Top King Mattress Pad

I bought this mattress pad in 2012 for our California king, and have loved it! It stays in place on the bed and is easily machine washable. I really like the krinkly expandable sides, because they fit better than other mattress covers and don't wear out as fast. I have looked for those sides at other places and they are surprisingly very hard to find. I have probably washed this mattress cover at least 50 times since I purchased it. It's wearing out now, but considering how long I have had it, I am very pleased. I am about to purchase another one to replace the one I have had since 2012. Will also purchase one for our new queen-sized Serta mattress in our guest bedroom.

When I was doing searches for a mattress pad, I was interested in a good pad that fit the bed and held onto the mattress. I wasn't really interested in finding one that was fluffy, thick, etc. Just something to cover the mattress and help protect it. This pad fits my King bed VERY nicely. It fits tight and so far does not bunch up under the sheet after sleeping in the bed all night. I have washed it and dried it. No problems from the washing or drying, but I used gentle cycles just in case. It works for me.

I purchased this mattress pad about 3 weeks ago based on the very good reviews on this website. Even though there were no reviews which talked about how much padding this particular pad actually provided, I decided to take a chance.Let me start by saying that I agree that this pad fits very well over our current mattress (in fact, our mattress apparently was quite thin, so adding the pad on top helped our sheets fit a bit better) and the material it is made of seems like it would hold up pretty well in the washing machine.Unfortunately, this pad is not very thick. In fact, I would argue that it's very hard to tell the difference when this pad is attached to the mattress.Overall, for the price, it's not horrible. But if you are buying a pad looking for a boost in comfort, I would recommend that you look a little more, or at least try to find this product in a retail store so you can see what I mean for yourself.

I had high hopes when I purchased this mattress pad; previous reviews were decent. Sadly, its not constructed 100%of real material. The part that holds it onto the mattress is made out of the plasticy material that reusable shopping cart bags are made of. It tore the first time I put it on the mattress. Still, I needed it so I didn't immediately send it back. Upon use, it comes off ALL the time - and our mattress isn't as thick as the 15" the pad is advertised to fit. Not suprisingly, it tore one of the times I put it back on. Worst yet, is that upon trying to remove the pad from my bed, it tore again. So now, 3 out of 4 corners are tore and I have no clue if it will actually go back on the bed now. This pad was a huge disappointment. If you need a pad, keep looking. This pad is not worth the investment. It didn't last us two months before being 100% destroyed, compared to the pad we were replacing that lasted 7 years.

I bought the twin for my daughter's new mattress set. The #1 reason I bought it was because it has the elastic bands all the way around, so it fits the sides of the mattress better. It holds snug. I am happy with the product. I bought a better pad for my bed, but it's good enough for a child's bed. I've washed it quite a bit and it's held up pretty well. It did shrink a bit, but I wanted it to because then it fits the bed better. It is not waterproof, but I didn't want that at all. Good product. Just put another one in my cart for my son, who just went into a twin bed.

Intelligence test? Or just a design flaw? Took over half an hour and a lot of sweat and cursing to get this mattress pad to stay put on my bed. Getting it to stay in one corner while I tried to secure another was absolutely maddening, because as soon as I got to the other side, the first side would slip out. Maybe I was foolish to try to do it all by myself. It is obviously a two-man job. But it shouldn't have to be! Eventually, my stubborness won out (I AM smarter than the mattress pad, right?), and I got it secured enough to follow up with a fitted sheet. It's only the first night, so we'll see if the rascal stays put. It may be fine in the long run after this first night in its new environment. Maybe it will like it's new home and relax. Maybe I'm just too emotional after my ordeal tonight. It just might be okay...until I have to take it off to wash it, and start the whole process over again. Hopefully it will be fine...we'll see.

I had a mattress pad like this for years that needed to be replaced and I'm glad I was able to find the same style. It washed fine and if it is like the one it replaces will survive several washings. It is a really snug fit and wraps around and under the mattress. I didn't buy it for it's thickness but rather as a protector to the pillow top on my new mattress. It's a great product at a great price.

The Beautyrest Cotton Top Mattress Pad, California King size is a great value for the price, fits the mattress fine and best of all it is machine washable. I did dry it on a medium heat to avoid shrinkage and found that it came out fitting the mattress perfectly. It is difficult to find a California King size in this price range that works as good as this one and I am very happy with it after five wash cycles.
