You're able to feed baby and if the child decides not to eat all of whatever you've made for whatever reason, no problem! Just screw the lid back on and pop it in the fridge for later 😁There is a plastic seal inside the jar you will need to place around the inside of the ring to the lid prior to using to ensure a good seal.Also, there is a dry erase marker included for writing the name and date of the food or whatever you're heart desires on the lid.These seem to be a very thick glass so I'm assuming they are durable, however I wouldn't leave your baby unattended with one. They may not be "bounce proof" if baby decides to throw it across the room.These are actually much larger than I imagined so they can hold quite a bit of baby food in a single jar.For my first use I squished up a medium avacado and still has quite a bit of room left in the jar.Once my baby starts eating more, I imagine I'll order another set of these so I can prepare food ahead of time and store it. They are super easy to clean, and a good size to last a couple days since I’m just now introducing food to my baby. And so far they are easy to clean, my only complaint is that I have to hand wash them and then put them in the sterilizer because you can’t wash them in the dishwasher. And the rubber band on the top comes off
