Love these shoes
Love these shoes, should have bought them a long time ago. Money well spent. Was looking for shoes i could run on snowy trails and through deeper snow. Ordered 4 different brands of winter running shoes, tried them on for fit, and settled on the La Sportive 2.0 GTX Crossover. The other shoes i tried were Northface Ultra MT Winter, Salomon Snowcross CS, and Saucony Razor Ice. They all fit narrow. For comparison, an ASCIS size 11 running shoe fits my feet perfect. Size 11 in all 4 brands of winter running shoes was too narrow. Ended up returning all 4 brands and ordering the size 11.5 and 12 in the La Sportiva. I settled on the size 11.5. Once i started using them outside, one shoe rubs on the outside edge, at a seam. But it's stretching over time and doesn't bother me anymore. Also, I've been manually working that seam at home, trying to loosen it up. So bottom line: order 1/2 and 1 size larger than you usually wear, and keep the one that fits. Be aware of sock thickness, and walk/run around in them inside your home before deciding on size. Just walking across the living room isn't an adequate try out.Aside from the narrowness I love the La Sportiva shoes. I wanted something lighter than my old Clarion GTX Vasque hikers, which are heavy and do not have a running sole. The hiking boots are still too clunky to run trails with the dog. Love that the La Sportivas are light, have aggressive tread which really helps with traction, although on ice they aren't any better than regular running shoes. (If i was going to use these on ice alot i would buy some little metal studs and screw then into tread). La Sportivas were the only one of the 4 brands i tried that have a draw string to pull gator around your ankle. Love it. I have used these to go off trail in snow, going up and down hills and they are great. They feel great on bare pavement as well. The Northface, Salomon, and Saucony were even narrower than the La Sportivas. They don't have a gaiter drawstring. The Salomons do have a 9 metal studs in the sole; they probably would be the best of the 4 on ice. The Saucony upper has a cool-looking material which i think might tear easily from a branch or thorn.

Be aware of sizing!!!
This is a great shoe. Have been wearing them now for a couple of days to break them in. Please be mindful though. I wear a size 9.5 US and wear a 44 in this shoe (10.5 +). These shoes run small. I'm wearing them for an upcoming adventure race. So, if you are serious about buying these shoes, I would recommend buying the size above and below what size you feel you are. I live in ohio, and as you can imagine, this state is not a mecca for outdoorsman. No store had sportiva shoes to try on. I ended up returning 3 pairs of these in order to get a proper fit. Thank you amazon prime for your awesome return policy.

La sportiva crossover
Really nice trail running shoes, I have just received mine and only have one run on them so far but I'm very impressed. They are a little narrow in the toe box but I'm sure once broken in they will fit like a glove.the zipper is made by YKK thank god ! so I know it won't break in a month and when the shoe is all zipped up and pull cord cinched it makes a nice comfortable seal around the ankle to keep out crud.

Excellent mountain running shoe
Excellent mountain running shoe , love the gaiters for keeping rocks and snow out. The zipper is smooth and easy. Good traction , I can wear them all year round in snow and mud. They are perfect for what we do.

I work at a job where I can dress nice but am in and out of the snow several times a day. These shoes are the greatest.

Since I got these for snowshoeing and will be wearing with heavier socks they work great but for summer running I might need to
Are a little large in the toe box but snug in the width. Since I got these for snowshoeing and will be wearing with heavier socks they work great but for summer running I might need to drop to a 43.5
