La Sportiva Men's Synthesis Mid GTX

Love these for hiking and backpacking. Very light. No breaking required. Wear well for lightweight hikers. Waterproofing works well. I honestly think they breath quite well. My feet sweat like crazy. Normally Amy waterproof good would havee literally wringing out my socks after 2-3 hours on a warm hike. Not so with these. Not miracle working and I now have dry socks but I would say they are half as wet. And that reduced the number of times I have to swap out socks and my feet are in better shape at the end of the day? The pull snug ties are nice too. You can set then snug , loose, or where ever you want and they stay there. Mid height keeps out most scree. But if I'm hiking fast, I still add a pair of "dirty girl" gaiters. Light, cheap and cover these well keeping out the junk and most rain.

I've used this product for nearly two years now. I've gone thru at least six pairs of boots over the decades. THESE are the best hiking boots I've ever had. EVER. Totally worth the money,. I hike mostly in a desert environment, but the waterproof nature of these things is perfect for strolling thru periodic streams. They're not tight enough to make my feet sweat, even in the hottest environment tho.On thing that was disappointing for me was this. I was hiking in the Sawtooth Wilderness the day after the #eclipse2017. My right boot snagged on a root and ripped the very thin lace, destroying it. These special laces are *NOT* available from the vendor as a replacement product. After a search I found some that work just as well from Dick's Sporting goods. See photo. Keep the end piece of the original lace and use the new slider that comes with the replacement lace. I cut to fit and use a lighter to prevent fraying. Voila.

First I should say that I am really picky about my feet and shoe comfort. I buy high quality shoes and socks. I have had this Synthesis boot for 2 weeks. This is a great product. They are really light - only 1.1 oz heavier than my New Balance 1340v2 running shoes. Nice, nice cushion in heel. Lot's of room in the boot because I use cushioned custom orthotics and I don't feel cramped at all. I bought a Gore-Tex boot to keep my feet dry in the winter slush - that eval will have to come next winter since spring finally showed up here. Now I'm wearing it all day because of the comfort. The membrane breathes well because my feet aren't getting sweaty. I walk daily with the dogs on trails in the woods - un-level and rocky. The boot provides lots of support and shock absorption. I bought a size larger after reading reviews and the fit is just right for me. I wear 11.5 in New Balance shoes but bought the Synthesis in size 46.5. I like the speed lacing system. The only con I can see is the price but I'm happy with the purchase. Recommended.

After much research, I bought these 6 months ago in preparation for the shoulder seasons here in the MidWest, where I knew there would be plenty of puddles from rain and snow slush. I can say conclusively that these shoes are not waterproof. Following every walk I take my dog on, with snow melt on the merely side of shoe, there is moisture transfer into the shoe resulting in wet feet practically every time I wear them. Otherwise, they are well made and comfortable, they're just not worth paying a premium for waterproofness.

I received these shoes and immediately put them to the test doing a 5 mile walk. They are unbelievable! They literally fit to your foot and I did not need a "break in" period. I have worn them to walk my dogs in the wet, country roads and they have kept my feet very dry and secure. Although a bit pricey, I will buy another back up pair because it seem like every year the shoe is modified so I will make sure I can enjoy this model longer.

Can’t speak highly enough of these pair of shoes, they are #1 all the way. I’ve bought dozens of different hiking shoes but these are truly my favorite. Currently on my third pair in a row. So light, always dry, and digs deep when needed.

These shoes are very well designed. They are my second pair of hiking shoes in a year and these are vastly superior. The closure is well though out and the support is excellent. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Next to Solomon, best shoe I’ve ever owned. Looks good, durable, comfortable. Bought multiple pairs because I hear they’re discontinuing the shoe. Sad.

軽い、履き心地が良い。水にも強い。外観も良い。ですがサイズがほんの少し大きめで、絞る紐も長めな為、いつものスニーカーよりもワンサイズ小さくても良いかも知れません。
