This product is a "bit of alright!
I bought this nugget icemaker and rec'd it two days ago. Here's what I've learned so far. Pros: a) Packaged really well. Unless someone really tried to destroy it, it should come in just fine. Nice job! b) Easy to take all the pieces out, clean and put back together (hint: there aren't many parts, which is nice!) c) They say ice in 6 mins... True but not enough to use. lol My attached video shows this. However, in 20 mins there was enough for one cup. Give it an hour and it'll be about full. It'll auto turn off as the ice gets stuck coming out of the chute so it thinks it's full but it's only about 2/3 full. That's fine. All ice machines will do this. Several glasses worth in an hour. d) Very compact and pretty light. e) Pretty quiet. You can hear it but there is a lot going on inside to create the ice. It's not loud enough to be a bother. f) Delicious nugget ice! No complaints on size or taste! g) Easy to drain, dry off and put away. Cons: I can't come up with any. How long will it last? That's the real question. Only time will tell. Overall, here was my goal. I just wanted to use it for a day, bag up a bunch of ice, drain and dry and put it away until I needed more ice. The reason for this goal was this... My first nugget maker was the GE Profile 2.0. Almost $600. I ran it 24/7 (I use a lot of ice). This was a mistake. Running it that much wore it out too quickly and also dirtied it up too easily. There was no good way to clean it other that hoping the "clean" setting actually did clean it. Well, it didn't. I don't think any can. You can't take any of them apart enough to make sure there isn't black gunk growing in all the guts of the machines. This nugget maker is easier to get too. The top lifts off and you can actually see the inside water tank and the big front tank and clean them both. Much better and a third of the price. Will it make ice as fast? Heck's no. Can I make ice for a few hours and bag it up and put in the freezer? Heck's yeah. I'm going for price now. I'll make ice, clean up the machine and put away for a week. So far, this is a great buy!!

Ice lover? It is worth every penny.
I am really surprised at how well this ice maker works. I am an ice-o-holic. I do not drink anything without ice. I don't chew on ice, I use it to cool everything I drink, the colder the better. The ice maker on our refrigerator failed about 2 years after purchase. It is a known-issue. The fix from Whirlpool is to replace the entire freezer door. At the time, they wanted $1,700 for the door. I'm pretty sure we paid $1,800 for the refrigerator. I started out buying bags of ice, then bought ice cube trays to make ice. I finally bought the Euhomy Nugget Ice Maker after about 2 years of that nonsense. I was reluctant to buy a countertop model because they don't store ice. I was thinking the ice would melt very quickly and would be a lot of work to get a lot of useable ice from the machine. Fortunately, that is not the case. I'm sure there is some ice loss due to melting, but after 30 minutes, there is a decent amount of ice in the basket. I have used the Ice Maker 4 times, running it for about 8 hours each time. I fill the water basin and turn the machine on. It takes more like 8 minutes for the first nuggets to drop. I usually remove the ice every 30 minutes and had a cup or two of water after removing the ice. This way the ice maker runs constantly. I have a process to keep the ice from clumping too much while it freezes in the freezer. When I remove the ice from the ice basket, I place it in a 1 gallon freezer bag and lay it flat in the freezer. Then, 30 minutes later when I remove the next batch from the maker, it goes into a second 1 gallon bag and is laid flat in the freezer. The next 30 minutes, I break up the ice in both Gallon bags by banging them on the counter and then combine them. The empty bag is filled and the process is repeated. Once a gallon bag is filled, there are only a few large clumps of ice. After about 8 hours of this process, I have two 1 gallon freezer bags of ice nuggets that generally last a few days. I generally make ice twice a week. I think in the summer, I'll probably be making ice 3 to 4 times a week. Some reviews claimed the ice maker is loud. It is about as loud as our Air Fryer and Microwave. I don't really think it is very loud. Most of the noise comes from the fan and the clinking of the tiny cubes falling into the plastic basket. I am glad we got this ice maker. It's obviously more work than making ice cubes in ice cube trays, but it makes more ice in the same amount of time as 4 standard ice cube trays. If we were to run out of ice, it only takes about 20 minutes to get enough ice made for a 20 ounce glass. With ice cube trays, it takes many hours to make solid ice.

A few flaws but I love it so far
So far I am loving it...Big water holder & ice basket...Love the lil nugget ice..It stays frozen longer than bullet ice.. Twice a piece of ice got stuck where it comes out & the motor was making a loud whining sound & got hot...I wouldn't leave it on if you're going to be gone a long time & the motor is loud....I did buy lil sanitizing tabs to clean it every month or two & they save me from having to clean it but I run tabs thru a couple times then drain & rinse with plain water twice

Small But Mighty
To be honest, I bought this machine to replace a $400 Mueller unit that the company replaced once, was a beast to keep clean, and eventually turned into a boat anchor. I figured if I only spent $150 on this Euhomy model and it didn’t hold up, it wouldn’t be that expensive to replace. I really didn’t have very high expectations but I waited to write a review until I had time to live with the machine. It’s been six months now. It has performed perfectly and we use it daily. It makes great pellet ice – soft and crunchy. Compared to the Mueller, it is small and does not take up much counter space. It is also pretty quiet in normal operation; although, it can get louder when it needs to be refilled. It makes ice very quickly - which is a plus because the ice bin itself is small. This machine would not be suitable for a large household but there are only two of us. We use large water bottles throughout the day so it is possible to fill up a water bottle with ice and empty out the ice bin. But it refills itself quickly so there is not much of a wait for the next person. (If they’re desperate, they just get ice out of the refrigerator ice maker.) The machine itself is easy to clean once you get the hang of the drain plug being on the bottom. The only real negative is the manual. The directions were so conflicting I wasn’t sure exactly how to clean the machine. I had to email them for clarification and to be honest, I really didn’t expect much of a response. But to my surprise, a real human emailed me back with an updated manual and clarified the questions I had. They even followed up after they sent the email to make sure I did not have any further issues. I truly did not expect that level of Customer Service. To be frank, the revised manual still needs work but it was an improvement and answered my questions. So, normally I would give this product four stars but because of the response from Customer Service I’m giving it five. Hope the machine continues to hold up!

DO NOT BUY THIS USELESS MACHINE!!!
I was so excited to receive this ice maker because it claimed to make the most perfect nugget ice just like Sonic's delicious ice. I've been buying cups of Sonic ice twice a week for some time now. However, now that it's hot outside here in California, the ice melts a little by the time I get home, so when I put it in the freezer, it hardens up into one solid brick of ice and doesn't taste the same as when getting and eating it right away from Sonic. Soooo, then I decided to just get my very own ice maker to alleviate this problem. I did my research and looked for a machine that is compact and easy-to-use and clean. Most importantly, the ice maker had to produce Sonic styled nugget ice, not bullet ice. Well, after reading all the reviews on this Euhomy Ice Maker, I was sold. As I said before, I was extremely excited about this ice maker. Well, I received it yesterday, September 1st, and followed all the manufacturers directions to set it up. (Note: You won't be able to use it right away because you MUST let the machine sit upright for 24 hours before plugging it in, turning it on, and filling the reservoir with water to begin making ice. Then you're instructed to throw out the first few batches before you can use the ice.) So, I got my machine yesterday and set it upright on the kitchen counter around 7:30p.m. At 7:40p.m. the following night I finally plugged it in, pushed the On button, and filled up the reservoir with filtered water. Then, I waited anxiously for the first batch of "Sonic" ice. I'll admit that the ice maker is speedy. I heard ice drop into the basket about five minutes later. Another positive is that it isn't loud at all, as some people have claimed. Okay, those are the only positives though. I wanted and was expecting small nugget ice, but instead I got large bullet ice (for those of you who don't know what the difference is between nugget and bullet ice, just Google it.) I saw that there are two option buttons on the front, Large and Small. Well, the large button was lit up, so I figured that was the problem. I then turned the ice maker off and unplugged it. I waited about 30 seconds, then plugged it back in, turned it on, and switched it from Large to Small. My hopes were back up that I would get the glorious small nugget ice I was so craving. The ice dropped about five minutes later and I was disappointed again. WTH?!? So, I thought that maybe that was the last cycle of the large ice and my smaller ice would be coming next. Nope!! The only ice that machine was making was large bullet ice, which I do NOT like. Well, I again turned off the ice maker and unplugged it. Waited another 30 seconds then plugged it back in. Now, the dumb machine won't even turn on. I pushed the On/Off button several times and....nothing. Dead machine 26 hours later after receiving it!?!? Good thing I saved the box because this useless machine is going back. I'm definitely not keeping it when it doesn't even make small Sonic-styled ice as it claims. More importantly, the ice maker stopped working 26 hours after receiving it. Needless to say, I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!!

Great ice machine with the best customer service
I have never had an ice machine before, and did not know what to expect. After our fridge's ice machine died, I needed a replacement, because buying ice was getting old really fast, and I chose this company and machine based on 1). the praise people have for this nugget ice (and we do like to eat our ice), and 2). The brand Euhomy seems to have a reputation that people like (and I now agree with). As for the ice maker itself, what a great machine! It looks nice on the counter, and for its size has not too large of a footprint. It produces ice steadily and quickly, maybe taking about 2 hours to fill the included basket. There's no assembly aside from a handle and simple cleaning before using an appliance for the first time. I run it for about 4 hours and put all the ice in the freezer. This gives my family roughly two days of ice. I do not run it non-stop because I want the machine to last as long as possible. The ice is the nice chewy kind, which is the entire reason that I chose this machine over something cheaper. The machine isn't noisy, but you can definitely hear it, which is another reason I wouldn't leave it on all the time. I would like to add that Euhomy has just about the best customer service that I have ever dealt with. They, as a company and brand are amazing, with great representatives who took care of me quickly and professionally for an issue that I had (caused by Amazon's shipping). I'm very pleased with both this product and this brand.

5-6 months of daily use & still loving my Euhomy!
I bought my Euhomy in December 2025, but purposely waited to do my review. I am elderly & was using a GE Opal machine that was way too big & way too much effort to clean as often as needed. I'm the only one that uses the nugget ice, so I started looking around at different smaller nugget ice makers. So far the Euhomy I bought is doing a good job. I have noticed some iffy sounds from time to time, but not enough that it's worrisome at this stage. I only fill with water once daily, so I'm not a big user, but do love my nugget ice. I am using filtered water & a tip... have your water cold from fridge & machine will start the ice making process much sooner than room temp water. I use citric acid to clean & Steramine tablets to sanitize. The one big issue I have, is the drain is located on the bottom of the machine & since I can't turn the machine upside down to see it, I have to blindly feel to get it back in place & that's proving to be very aggravating for me. Maybe it's an age related issue. :) I did take out an extended warranty, just in case. *It's now past time to sell my Opal that was working perfectly & still under warranty through May or June.

Ice is fine, but it's a very loud machine
We bought this primarily to make nugget ice for iced coffee, and in that respect it does exactly what we wanted. The ice size is exactly as expected, it starts producing ice fairly quickly, and it makes enough for a couple of large iced coffees without much waiting. Our biggest complaint is the noise. The product description advertises quiet operation, but that wasn't our experience. It was loud enough that we moved it from our kitchen to the laundry room because it made it difficult to watch TV in the adjoining room. It also seems to run almost constantly. Since this style of ice melts fairly quickly, the machine frequently cycles to make more, which adds to the overall noise. If your priority is quality nugget ice and you don't mind some noise or have a place to keep it away from your main living area, it's a solid machine. If you're expecting a quiet appliance, though, you may be disappointed.

Awesome!
Best investment I ever made. Works great, makes ice quick, and it’s the good crunchy little ice. Perfect for my daily iced coffees! Update a couple months later, still works great, so glad I bought it! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Worth it if you like to chew ice
First ice machine for me. No regrets. Love the texture and size of the cubes. Haven't run into any issues.

Dissapointed
Bought this nugget ice maker August 2025 and I really love it! But at the beginning of this month, it started to make squeaky sounds and not making ice anymore! I tried to check the product support, but the information is for and Ice Cream machine and not the ice nugget maker! SUPER DISAPPOINTED!!! For the price we pay for it, you’d expect it to last more than 11 months!!! Be very careful if you purchase! When it was working, it was the best ice maker! But now it’s just dead weight on my countertop, and I have to buy a new one!!!

Euhomy over Frigidaire V2
I purchased this one and the Frigidaire V2 for almost double the price. Compared the two. And this one produces the exact same kind of ice as the mechanism is the same. The only difference is that this one holds less. But Euhomy makes a larger one that is identical to the Frigidaire v2 that you could get. Save your money and go with this. Also as for mold, I haven’t noticed any. I have run the self clean cycle a few times, but we use culligan water in ours. See pictures for the two nugget ice makers we tried and compared. Note: my wife says she was after “hospital ice” and this was close but not quite the exact same. It’s still soft and easy to chew but wasn’t powdery. Definitely good enough for $250 bucks and surely no one needs the Frigidaire after this review.
