No more ice!
The refrigerator/ freezer have worked flawlessly since I received it. The fit and finish is excellent. The compressor is barely audible. The power draw is very good. The yellow and black color is great. I liked the ability to plug it into your vehicle battery and not draw off the battery so far the vehicle won't start. I will be going solar to power the refrigerator soon.

My first 12V refrigerator and I love it
I have been spending more time offroading and camping and am building up my gear. This is my first 12V fridge and I did not know what type of performance to expect and I love it after my first test.First off the whole unit feels solid and well made. The doors close tightly and have a nice snap when they close. I like that you can easily reverse them both or individually. The controls on the front panel are a little confusing but there are directions printed right under the controls so you can figure them out in a pinch. It is much easier to control and monitor the unit using the phone App that connects to the fridge via Bluetooth.I like having two seperate compartments that can be either fridge or freezers. Having two separate doors instead of one is also nice so you don't have to open the freezer when you only need fridge stuff. Being able to open only one door/compartment should keep temps more stable in the compartment that you don't open and save on power usage. The included baskets in each compartment allow you to pull them out with all their contents making finding and getting stuff out from the bottom of the fridge much easier. So my first test was at home and not on the road as I don't expect to be out again for a few weeks.I ran the unit on AC power in my house that was 70 degrees inside. I started the unit on Max power and set the large compartment to 34 degrees and the smaller one to 5 degrees. Both compartments were at temp in about 30 minutes. Both compartments were empty when I started the test.Once the set temps were reached I put some cold items in the fridge and frozen in the freezer side. I then lowered the power to Eco mode. The unit kept temps pretty close to set temps with some minor fluctuations both warmer and colder. It was not much different than my KitchenAide brand fridge in my house. The freezer kept ice cubes frozen and made some large ice cubes. The large cubes took many hours to freeze.I changed the power from AC to DC using my car jump starter to power the unit. It ran for four hours and the battery still had some life in it but the voltage was getting close to 10 volts. I had the battery voltage protection set to medium and the battery voltage never got low enough for the fridge to turn itself off. This is a nice feature so you don't kill your car battery if you are running it from your car.As far as noise level goes, it seems to purr quietly while running. One thing to note is that if the baskets are in the unit and there is nothing in the basket, the basket will make a rattling noise. So far I am loving this unit and can't wait to get on the road with it.

The lights are on, but, is there anyone home?
Purchased for a camping trip, got the insulated bag and the reserve battery for it as well (all in, around $500). We got to our destination and it hadn’t cooled below 65 degrees, so our food was ruined.I had tested the unit before we left inside the house on a regular wall socket and it did cool, unfortunately I didn’t check the 12v before we headed out. After returning, despite changing multiple settings, it would not cool on a 12v charger.I took my truck to the dealership to check the 12v outlet, all good.I purchased a second 12v charger cable, still a no go.So…I reached out to BougeRV AND I’m still waiting for a reply after 3 weeks! Even Amazon reached out to BougeRV and no one was home 🫥😆I feel I’ve done my part as the consumer to give this fridge a fair shot but BougeRV obviously couldn’t care less.🤷🏻♂️

So far, it's great! (customer service is also stellar!)
Well, for starters, I think everyone can appreciate good customer service so I want to start by giving a bit of bad followed by a bit of good. I received my BougeRV about a week ago and it was DOA. The box was smashed pretty badly, and considering it's about 35lbs, I'm not surprised something like this can get busted up if the delivery service is careless with it. Either way, it arrived dead and I blame the delivery service. I contacted BougeRV and they had a new one at my door within 5 days. That is amazing customer service. That's the kind of service that makes me want to support this brand beyond this one product. So, now I have a working fridge and I've been testing it out. I haven't had a chance to actually go camping with it though so everything I'm about to say should be taken with a grain of salt as I expect some things to change once I use it in a more real life scenario. My plans as of now are to take this thing camping with me for a couple weekends and depending on how it works for me, I'll then be setting up a more permanent housing for it in a camping rig.The two compartments, one larger and one smaller, come with baskets which I wasn't aware of until I opened it up. It's a little thing but it's nice to be able to pack the fridge baskets outside of the fridge, or even inside your home, and then you bring it out to the rig or wherever you have the fridge. Typically people will use the small compartment for the freezer but that doesn't need to be the case here. You can configure this however you see fit so you can use the large compartment as your freezer and small compartment as your fridge. You can use both as a fridge or both as a freezer. There is a battery compartment on side which allows for wirelessly powering the fridge. There is also a solar plug with 100w input for charging battery. (That battery is sold separately by BougeRV and solar only works in conjunction with the battery)The top lid is reversible which can help with orientation allowing you to get the control panel in a better position for your needs. It's pretty quiet. If you're a few feet away, it really blends in with the background noise of everything in a house. If you're outdoors, the noise may standout a bit more but I haven't had the chance to test that yet. Either way, it's quiet. Some smaller but nice things-Integrated bottle opener on side. A simple but nice touch.Integrated cutting board on the underside of the lid. I'm not sure it's something I'd ever use but it's a great use of space.LED lights inside. One for each compartment. It's a 12V fridge but it's also compatible with 24V.So, overall, I am very happy with it as of right now. It holds temps and keeps cold things cold.
