Bought this case for my new 13” iPad Air and pleasantly found that it also works with my 12.9” iPad Pro (4th gen). The case is slim, light and solid, the material is of nice quality and feels great to the touch. Very sturdy when used as a stand, but only in landscape mode. The magnets are strong so the iPad won’t detach from the case during normal usage. Very happy with my purchase as it is inexpensive, convenient to use and fits my needs.

UPDATED REVIEW:What's really remarkable is that Kate from ESR customer service stayed with the process the entire time from sending the original replacement to checking in to sending ANOTHER replacement at no cost to me to checking in again, to finally finding the right case through looking at the iPad type and sending it to me a THIRD time at no cost to me. I've ordered many things off of Amazon over the years, but it's easy to say that I've never had customer service this good, and I didn't even ask for it originally. The new case works well, but the fact that this company would stay with a product review and be so active from a customer service standpoint makes it remarkable and worth five stars. For what it's worth, I think the case is plenty durable and nice that I can't imagine having to send it back ever, but their customer service and standing behind the quality of their products has me looking at what else I can order from them -- I have no doubt they'd back it with actions.I am updating from my original one-star review. As is the case with another reviewer, the challenge might have been with the labeling for a brand new M4 iPad. I say this because the ESR team reached out to me on their own to see what they could do to make my sitaution better. After TWO attempts to find the right case, we finally figured out that the M4 requires a stronger magnet, and that this case had accidentially been mislabeled as fitting the M4.ORIGINAL REVIEW:When trying this for the fist time, I would advise doing so over a soft surface. The magnet sure doesn’t seem to work at all, so I’m glad I had my hands on the case and iPad before trying it — the iPad slipped right out. This would offer absolutely no protection from the iPad falling out. I have the new Magic Keyboard, so I know what the magnetic attachment should feel like — this doesn’t have that. Otherwise, it is an attractive and slim case.

The case does exactly what it is advertised to do and it is to hold the iPad in the case via magnet and protect it from scratches and light impact. Keep in mind that since all four corners and sides are not covered except by the binding and the flap sides, there may be a chance that the iPad inside can detach and become separated when dropped from a certain height/angle (although I have yet to experience this myself). I personally had been using the similar case for my older iPad air (ESR rebound magnetic shift case) and after using it for a year, I can attest that the quality of that case is well built and I have no doubt in believing the same for this particular model. The only disappointment to this is that the previous rebound magnetic shift case allowed you to fold in a way that can be used in vertical position but not with this particular model. Other than that, the fitment and quality are great with convenient magnetic mechanism that allows you to take on and off of iPad from the case in a breeze.

UPDATE - ESR’s Customer Service team saw my original review and proactively responded by sending me the correct case for my 2024 iPad Pro (M4) and I now have the perfect case exactly what I was looking for! This case provides sleek, strong protection while keeping my Apple Pencil Pro attached to the unit when I place it in a work bag or wherever it may be. The key to getting it right is to make sure that you select the correct model of case, which I had apparently not done previously, so please forgive my error and enjoy this case. For reference, I am now putting away my Apple pad, folio and replacing it with this case thank you ESR!This is the third item by ESR that I have purchased or received from my Apple products. While the brand is relatively new to me, it holds great clout in the sturdiness I’ve seen for my other items purchased, as well as their proactive customer service measure in wanting to make me happy with my iPad case…this is going to be a brand to keep coming back to.The design of this case was exactly what I was looking for, and I was really excited open it upon its arrival. Unfortunately, as many other reviewers have noted, the item I received had no magnetization at all, Making the protective case anything but protective. If I knew for sure, I would get a case with magnets equal to those of the apple folio I would’ve exchanged, but based on my experience and what I’m reading reviews, it seems like a crapshoot so I’m just going to return it.

I searched and searched through many of the completing brands for my new 13” iPad Air. I selected this tablet cover because of fit and function. The AIR attaches magnetically and will not detach. Priced competitively to other brands and exceeded my expectations for protecting my new iPad.Excellent tablet case!

The magnets do not line up to meet the iPad correctly. Because of this the iPad is literally pushed out of the case. Using iPad Pro M4 13 inch model. I would not recommend or purchase till this is fixed. We bought 2 and both had this issue.

purchased this case for my iPad Pro. It fits like a glove and I found the magnets to hold quite strongly. The additional magnetic flap closure adds an added measure of security to this folio style case and also doubles as a holder for an Apple Pencil, which was a nice touch. The case itself has a nice feel to it, and I found the build quality to be excellent and on par with an OEM product. It’s thin and sleek. It cleans easily, and I believe I’m going to get great use out of it for as long as I own my iPad.

This is a good sturdy case, but the feel is soft so it feels good in the hand. Very impressed, and holds the ipad firmly. I have an older (2021) ipad 12.9 but it fits perfectly. The magnetic clip is just a great bonus. Highly Recommended! A+++
