It’s not as thick as I thought it would be but we put our pool on our tar basketball court and it’s doing the job of keeping the liner free from tares and wasn’t a problem with keeping the liner free from wrinkles

I put two layers of this pad between the sand and pool liner because itnis virtually impossible to eliminate footprints in the sand. Now there are no footprints and the wrinkle in the liner were much easier to eliminate. I would recommend everyone put a pad beneath their liner. It is much softer on the feet and adds a much-needed láser of protection for the liner. I would buy this item again.

We bought this to put something between the ground and the pool to prevent stray pieces sand from sticking up and hurting feet or making a hole in the pool. Ouch! it's apparently too thin for that purpose.It did however, make smoothing the liner a lot easier than usual.

Made the bottom of our 32x15ft Intext pool feel like soft sand and it's on screened topsoil.

So I got this carpet. Is it a carpet? Not sure, but it’s thick material to put under your pool. It gives that extra protection and cushion under the pool. As you can see it’s the right side for the pool we got. No complaints on my part. ☺️
