I can honestly say this is by far the best tequila I have ever tasted. It exceeded my expectations in every way. Unlike other tequila it has a great taste, and indeed smell and is a fantastic choice for sipping, with or without a mixer! Value for money, excellent flavour, nice bottle. Can’t recommend this product highly enough!!

Bought this for cocktails, but wasn’t expecting to like it so much - far too many memories of bad tequila! This was so different and may well convert me. It was a lot smoother and less harsh than other tequilas, that have been responsible for many a hangover. Will definitely be buying again

This review is from a sample I was sent.I have only ever bought and tried one bottle of Tequila before trying El Mayor Blanco and to say I was apprehensive would be an understatement.I didn’t enjoy the first tequila I tried, but this was over 10 years ago.However, I’m not one for never trying things again, so I approached the Blanco with an open mind.The smell is very much like that of new make spirit, it’s clean and fruity, vibrant even. There are no distracting aroma's and the alcohol nip isn’t off putting, it invites you in to give it a sip.The flavour like the nose is clean and not as harsh as I was expecting. There is a freshness, almost citric acid. It has a gentle tangy peach skin note. Perhaps some yeasty fresh baked bread and it isn’t overly sweet.Overall I enjoyed this Tequila and it has made me re-evaluate other drinks that I may have dismissed on a first try.If you don’t enjoy shots and this tequila has more depth that downing it will be a waste, then it would be great in a longer drink.

I’m typically a whiskey fan and enjoy sipping spirits - given that the sun was shining this weekend I thought I’d try out El Mayor as I’d heard good things. Wow! It’s incredibly smooth with citrusy notes and a very clean aftertaste, perfect to relax with in the garden. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed this tequila! My friend recommended so I treated myself and it food not disappoint - very smooth, fresh tasting and lovely over ice. Looking forward to trying it out on a couple of cocktails next. The bottle is also very attractive so great for gifts!

Thought I’d try something new with the El Mayor. Deliciously easy and genuinely enjoyable to drink - you really can taste the heritage. Cannot recommend enough, either for the perfect base for a margarita or just neat on ice.
