Not working after 3 months-UPDATE
Happy to report that after I reported my coffee pot wasn't working, customer service reached out and replaced it for me. Overall I'm impressed with their service and happy with the size of this machine. five stars, especially considering the price and size. The 5 cuppers are just not enough and this gives me enough for 2 cups of coffee in the morning.

what crap
been using this crap since late august. first it weighs nothing. some days it brews fine. most days it clogs or leaks. some days it brews quickly other days it brews then stops and i have to turn it off and on to get it to start again. sometimes it will brew half a pot and until i pour a cup it won't brew the rest of the coffee. half the time the pause and serve doesn't work. it's difficult to even get the pot out it's so tight. then this morning it just quit in the middle of a brew. not even the middle it was less than a cup in. i didn't expect much for the price but damn what a waste of my money. i don't get much as it is. but the fact that i now have to buy a new coffee maker just pisses me off. i get to chose between disappointing my grandchildren with nothing for christmas or a coffee maker. i guess i no longer drink coffee.

Does what a coffee pot should
After spending hundreds of dollars a year replacing my keurig style coffee makers I finally decided to go back to a regular coffee maker. Been using it every day for a couple months now and it works just fine. Heats up and brews coffee. Much more friendly on the wallet to then the pods. If it quits working I’m not out much I’ll buy again!

Don't rely on the poor rating! Not too shabby of a small coffee maker!
I ordered the 8 cup because I wanted ability to program it so it turns on in the morning by itself. The display is very, very tiny, but if you're someone that doesn't care about a clock and just wants to be able to program a small coffee maker, this coffee maker is for you. It's small, convenient, and does exactly what I need it to do. The plastic on top feels a bit flimsy, but it closes securely. It brews a full pitcher in about 5-10 minutes and the coffee strength depends on how much coffee you put into the convenient reuseable filter that comes with it. All in all, very pleased with this coffee maker.

Ok but lots of little annoyances
I was happy with my old 12 cup brewer but I only brew 6-8 cups so I thought something smaller would be better. I also wanted a "cone" filter brewer because I would often brew less than a full pot of coffee. 1. This one has a "cone" but it's only the reusable basket filter. What it fits into is more round bowl shaped with ribs sticking out. If you put a paper filter into this bowl the coffee seems weak. If you use only toe provided reusable basket the finer grounds get through into your pot. I use both and it brews a decent cup of coffee. 2. It's slow. I can't compare times because my old brewer quit -that''s why I bought a new one -but it seems to take as long to brew 8 cups in this as it did to brew 12 cups in the old one. 3. Pour slow or clean up the mess. Not only does it brew slowly but you must pour slowly or the pot dribbles all over whatever is under it. 4. It seems to put out a LOT of steam at the end of the brewing cycle. I'm used to a little steam at the end of the brewing cycle but this one turns into a real steamer. I'm concerned that over time it will damage the cabinet that is over the brewer. So, that's it. It brews a decent cup of coffee but there are these annoying little things. I suspect I will replace it before long.

STILL. 6 MNONTHS LATER makes great coffee at a below bargain price
makes great coffee at a below bargain price. several comments about flimsy product though not in the 5 star reviews. hot water good coffee makes a good cup. there is no reason to think this maker was created for the outback. UPDATE. still makes great coffee 6 months later. super value

I hate this coffee pot!!!!
Where do I start???? The only good thing I can say is that this coffee maker is that it’s programmable and it has a reuseable filter oh yeah, and it makes the coffee fast. Otherwise, don’t purchase this coffeemaker because it doesn’t matter if u pour it really slow or really fast, the coffee will spill from the pit every time because the spout doesn’t keep it from happening. Another thing, the coffee maker doesn’t keep the coffee hot, even if it just got done brewing. I have to pour some in a container and microwave it for hot coffee and I don’t put any cold creamer in my coffee. I drink it black. In all reality, this should haven’t cost over $10. I would have already returned it but I’m waiting til I get paid in a couple of weeks so I can get me something a lot better. Do yourself a favor, make sure u buy one from a brand that u can trust!

Not Worth $4.95!
Everything is cheap, cheap these days, but this one is the worst. Flimsy. No calibration on pot. I would give zero stars but it does heat the water and presumably make coffee. This was an initial trial run with just water. What happened to "Capresso" brand?! Not terrific but better than this piece of junk. Water runs down of back of lid when it's lifted. Instead of $29 it should be $4.95. Just my observation . . . .to further rate this pathetic coffee pot, the display on bottom front is at such an angle, it is impossible to view with the pot sitting on counter top, while standing in front of the pot, unless you’re a child or extremely short adult. All for now.
