The lens are amazingly clear and the scope feels solidly built. I was looking at a diff brand that was about $70 less and chose to spend a little more for this scope. It feels and looks like it will stand up for many years of hunting and if not leupold will fix whatever happens. It's worth the extra money for something that has a reputation for quality and standing behind their products.

compares to much more expensive riflescopes
I have two of these.. one each on an Anchultz 22 and an Anchultz 22mag, and I love them. I have always enjoyed shooting aperture sights with a globe style front sight, and this Leupold has a small circle around the crosshairs, and simulates the sight picture of the open sights. I’ve never seen this on another brand or model of scope, and I really like it. High quality, and an overall great “relatively inexpensive” riflescope.

Scope great, shipping terrible!
Leupold always high quality and this is my second Ultimate Slam scope, however the shipping dept really was careless. They put a $300 scope in a plastic bag (not even a bubble wrap envelope, no cushioning whatsoever and sent it out that way). There is no evidence of damage to the scope box but you know sure as heck it got thrown around at every shipping terminal and carrier. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER RIGHT NOW! Called customer service and said they would make a note of it but that was all. Guess we’ll see how well it was made unless I decide to return it and buy elsewhere. Ironic just last week go a piece of clothing approx $20 worth in a box twice its size with air packs for cushioning.
