Kids need to be seen and appreciated as themselves.
Sensitive kids will recognize themselves in these colorful pages while their classmates and adults may appreciate the reminder that their sensitive friend or child has gifts that bring them joy. I loved the graphic use of words within the design of the book. The illustrations are intriguing enough to keep librarians, teachers, and parents engaged enough to read the story multiple times to groups of students or to their own sensitive child.

Great for my sensitive 4 yr old
When my daughter has been upset, she has now learned to say “I’m sensitive“. This book was great for her to learn that her emotions are going to be her superpower, and it was also helpful for her parent that struggles with managing her big emotions.

A Book EVERYONE Should Read!
There are tears every single time we read this book, because the author captures our big and deep feelings so well. Great book for anyone, not just kids, who has ever felt dismissed, for actually being human and 'feeling'. Can't thank the author enough for writing this book. And can't thank the editor/publisher enough for bringing such a needed book to the mainstream and onto bookshelves. THIS SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING for everyone, to remind each other we all have feelings that need to be respected instead of being made to feel small or have fun at one's expense for being human. GREAT BOOK! Highly recommend it for SEL.

An important book for sensitive souls!
What a beautiful book! Based on her author's note Sara Levine wrote this book from her own experiences--she was told she was too sensitive when she was younger, and the criticism she received weighed on her. We see that in the main character of Sara's book as well. She's surrounded by others' advice and criticism until she gets overwhelmed and decides she needs to write all of the words out. She does this and then takes her power back by transforming those words. An important message for all readers. Filled with beautiful illustrations and helpful back matter, this book is recommended for all homes, libraries, and classrooms.

Beautiful Book
This is a comforting and beautiful book for parents to read to younger children. Readers of any age can find validation in the text and comfort in the notes at the end of the book. Counselors should have a copy of the book in their personal libraries.
