Why did you pick this product vs others?: I first bought a tried and true Honewell thermastat that was defective right out of the box. This one seemed to have necessary features with out features not needed. Functionality: I installed it today, very simple instalation so far working very well. Programmability: Very easy to set up using the up and down buttons. also easy to change settings. Reliability: To be determined. Display size: Easy to see for older people Thermostat quality: good quality and packaging Looks great: nice apperance.

I am legally blind. The unit that I had installed two years ago was impossible for me to read AT ALL! I am sure there are other similar thermostats out there. Although I was apprehensive at the $23 cost, I went ahead and bought this. A friend had it installed in thirty minutes! The unit works on two AA batteries. The battery compartment is easily accessible on the bottom front of the unit. NO FUMBLING AROUND!This unit is a basic unit. You cannot program it. It will work for an HVAC system (heat and cool) and is truly easy to see, with the large green backlit screen. A great item for the money, it is now only one week old, but I am hopeful it will last! I bought this, along with wire, to get rid of a wireless programable thermostat that was being problematic. Once I ran the new wiring, this thermostat was easy to install. The display is large and easy to see with the bright backlight. Temperature adjustment is easy to set and the controls are easy to operate. It operates my HVAC as it should and even looks decent. My only caution would be to make sure you set the switch on the back, gas or electric, to the appropriate position for your system.

Control works perfectly. Installation was a little bit of a challange, as the included instructions do not tell you how to wire for an older 2 wire wall furnace, I had to search online till I figured it out. I like that I can program a temp, and that it works on a battery rather than house power, so if the power goes out, I still have control of my heat. For the price, this is fantastic, and it's easy to use, with a bright, clear display.

Too many gadgets these days. Just needed something basic with ease of use and easy setup. Nice color, size of digits and clear display. Can't go wrong.

No bells and whistles and works great! I’ve had it for a few months and zero issues. If you want something simple that works, this is it .

It. Just. Works. No programming. It doesn't need a C-wire, just two AAA batteries. It works with a millivolt wall furnace. It doesn't care what day it is or time it is. Reasonably priced. The temperature is accurate & it only turns on when it's supposed to. If the temperature isn't right, you can calibrate it within +/-4 degrees but it didn't need it out of the box for me. I cannot believe that earns a 5 stars now days but it does.

This was easy to install. The numbers are bright and easy to read. The instructions were simplified. I was able to set it at a comfortable level with ease.
