The quality is really good. The straps, buckles and material are all well made, good quality and strong. It fits well and is adjustable as the dog grows. The grab handles are reassuring; fortunately we didn’t have any emergencies but feel confident that this would have coped. Recommended for a dogs boat/river/canal trip if you want peace of mind and a good looking pet.

Bought this for my 2 year old female springer spaniel for a long canoe trip, mainly as a safety measure as she loves to swim and chase ducks and the thought of her getting tired/in danger worried me . After reading the reviews I decided to not trust the sizing instructions recommended, but actually buy a “Large” size for my very medium-sized dog. I’m glad I did as the vest fits her well. If anything it’s a LITTLE bit big around the chest, but Lilly is small for a Springer spaniel. The vest fits her well enough, provides good support around the waste, feels very secure and definitely made swimming easier. The grab handles on the top of the design made it particularly easy to pick her up out of the water when needed. The vest is lightweight; she got used to it very quickly, and the Velcro and plastic clips seemed very secure. Have bought one for my parents’ Springer too.

The media could not be loaded.  I really like this lifejacket because it is long on my dogs body, and it has an extra piece of buoyancy underneath the chin, which is helpful for keeping their heads out of the water. I also like the fact that it has two handles, which makes it very easy to retrieve the dog from the water, especially on a paddleboard or a boat. I bought a medium size for my 10 kg, petite Cocker and it has lots of room to expand around her belly and fits perfectly on her when the straps are tightened.

Got the small based on a previous review for my 10kg cockapoo, but she must be fitter as her chest was too big to fit in the small. Had to upgrade to the medium. It's not perfect around under the chin, but it fits beautifully every where else and we went to the beach at the weekend. She fell off the paddle board and it did an excellent job of keeping her well out of the water but not too far out so as to be unstable. She's learning to swim nicely and loves her new jacket.Perfect.Small only seems to have 1 grab handle. Medium has 2, the photos don't show this.

I have a 22kg Springer Spaniel and based my main decision by the weight specification, but his chest girth is also just below the stated 68cm. But it turned out to be quite too small. The hook and loop didn't touch each other and the buckles just about closed when fully extended.So I started the return process and ordered a size L. This is a bit bigger, but only just fits. The hook and loop reach one strip of the 3, and the length of the webbing is actually the same length as on the M, so just about closes. So it seems a XL jacket would probably fit about right. But I am not going to take the risk - and pay another £4 for the privilege to start another return process.I decided to buy this jacket because it looks well made, has plenty of good reviews, and also not many complaints about sizing issues. I have to admit that I am disappointed.

Thoroughly recommended! Great, well thought out dog's swim vest that was just what we were looking for. I normally don't write reviews, but make an exception as so pleased we can take our old dog retrieving sticks from the water again.Size: large - he is a large Cocker Spaniel. The wrap goes all around his chest, perfectly using all the velcro. Probably would fit Springers too. For our small (but chunky) Cocker we got the medium vest which fits her just fine too.It's light and well shaped. He's comfortable wearing it. Does a great job in helping him stay afloat if he were to falter. The chin float helps a little to prevent his ears from filling with water and after two short tries he has already regained confidence.Has a buckle to attach lead and two sturdy hand grips to lift the dog out of the water if needed. If you get the bigger size and the wrap sits snugly all around the chest this works a treat.As a bonus it looks very good too. Our little one was jealous and we were so impressed we got her one too for if we go boating.If in doubt re sizing, get size bigger (as per most reviews).

Great product works really well keeping our dog afloat and pulling him out of the water but this is the second one we have bought because the first size was a medium and a tad too small. We have a springer spaniel who is only 10 month old so bought medium thinking that would be perfect but it was a tight fit so have just purchased the large. There is an adjustable velcro strap under the belly that can adjust so fits perfectly with plenty of room as he grows now.

j'ai pris les deux tailles pour mes berger australien, M pour les femelles (qui font entre 18 et 21 kg) et L pour les mâles (entre 23 et 28 kilos)...Pourtant chez mes femelles j'ai des petits gabarit en taille, mais le gilet , serre beaucoup trop, difficile d'attacher le scratch au niveau de l'abdomen, certainement car mes chiennes sont bien développé et musclé a cet endroit et non pas la forme d'un lévrier ^-^ ! bref du coup le taille L ira pour les femelles (car sur les mâles ça ne leur va pas du tout ! ) et je retourne l'article en taille M
