Over priced with unnecessary genitalia on toy
Over priced. It’s a good tool in theory and will take some perseverance. Beware- these toys come complete with genitals which I think is unnecessary.

Not worth it
Way too overpriced. There is basically a small cheap soft toy with very badly made and clothes. The flimsy trousers tear if you try to pull them down or take them off. The feet are too big so you can't actually remove the trousers. The pants or nappy is impossible to pull down and up. The concept isn't bad but it is frustrating because with a tiny bit of thought the toy specially the clothes could have been made well at hardly any extra effort of cost to the manufacturers. The soft toy does not 'sit'.Waste of money. The reading material is basic and generic and doesn't add anything.

Took only 1 hour!!
Our 3 year old son has been very hesitant to start using the potty. He kept saying, ‘I’m not ready yet!’ When we would suggest it. We purchased a little potty for him 8 months earlier than had literally become part of the bathroom decor as he wouldn’t go near it. One night I completely ran out of diapers... I had bought more that day but could not find them ANYWHERE. I was planning to start using Tot on the Pot that coming weekend but out of sheer panic I thought, welp why not try now? After his bath I talked to him about our diaper dilemma and pulled out Tot and the ‘I don’t want to!’ underwear I had hoped would motivate him to ditch the diaper. He was very resistant and I let him get out his emotions. He yelled and threw his underwear around his room. After he settled down I read the book to him that came with the kit. He was intrigued and started to get into it so we read the book again. After a little while he asked to get dressed. I reminded him that we didn’t have diapers (we would need to go back to the store to get them) so he would have to put underwear on before getting dressed if we were to go to the store. He agreed. SUCCESS! I then ventured on to ask if he would like to just try sitting on his potty like Tot... he said yes! He asked for privacy and a few minutes later i heard, ‘MAMA I DID IT!!’ He went peepee! We celebrated and played the cute card games (that’s his favorite part of the kit). We then headed to the store for more (now just for nighttime) training-pants and a little treat! He was gushing with pride! When we told the clerk about our evening she gave us the training pants for free as a little congratulations gift! He now refuses to wear diapers and only wears training pants at night. Even at preschool he uses the potty now! He’s still a little nervous to go #2 in the potty but I have no doubt that will have that down in no time. This is a cute, fun, and very simply potty training kit and I highly recommend it! The time it took start to finish to get my son to wear underpants and go peepee for the first time in his potty was less than an hour! And our son is not an easy going kid... I was fully expecting this not to work for him, but it turned out better than I expected! Thanks Tot!!

Really wanted to leave 5 stars but
We researched a lot of methods and thought this would suit our kid the most. It feels like the cards and games in the cards are designed for an older kid more like 2.5 and up. My kid who just turned 2 wasn't motivated by the cards or the contents in the cards. The delayed gratification of not being able to get his card until he pottied in the potty turned out to be defeating for him at his young age. We ended up abandoning them altogether. The anatomically correct tot was helpful initially to have some scenario play and conversations about the potty but our kid doesn't generally bond to a specific stuffed animal or toy so he wasn't really taken with the doll beyond the initial role plays. We all felt disappointed when after the first weekend of following this by the book to the "T" our kid didn't really seem that into it despite him showing a strong interest in the potty ahead of that weekend and showing all of the signs of readiness. Sure enough, when we backed off the method completely, it turns out our kid had no problem using the potty himself and there's nothing more rewarding than flushing the toilet. We'll check this off as a contributing factor in our potty training journey but not sure it made a huge positive impact and was a little pricey for the results we ended up getting out of it.

Useful but not a compelling solution
Our grandson was 3 yrs & 3 mo old when we got the kit. The guide that comes with the kit has some good advice. He had passing interest in the doll but did not relate to it when it came to the potty training aspect. It might have been better if the doll actually peed to show him what was expected of him. The activities on the cards didn't make much difference to him. He was amused but it didn't motivate him. Mainly he just liked putting the cards in the slot. Bottom line for potty training is the adult making a strong commitment for several days to be attentive to making the child aware of what to do when they feel the urge. It's breaking the habit of him just going in his diaper. By 3 years he is so accustomed to just going in his diaper that he doesn't even realize it is about to happen. He needed to recognize the urge and learn to hold it until he gets to a bathroom. I think after spending $50 for the kit we were motivated to commit several days to get it done. The guide was why I gave it 3 stars.

Amazing product!
I truly believe this was the key to potty training my toddler. We tried other methods and my toddler struggled for months and months. But this product turned potty training into a game, and my toddler is SO excited to go on the potty now and get to pull a card for an activity

It has everything you need to prepare you for helping your child become bathroom independent.
I love this so much!!! My son is only 20 months old and although we are not potty training him yet, I am trying to expose him to the idea of it. I love that it comes with a doll and a toy potty that we have placed next to his potty so he can see it. I love the book that it came with and we read it together as he sits in the potty. He has recently been telling us when he goes #2 so we are definitely considering potty training soon. I'm the type who would study something first before starting an endeavor so I love that it comes with a parents' guide. It has everything you need to prepare you for helping your child become bathroom independent and I'm so very happy that we got this. Definitely worth the money!
