Sharper Image Power Boost Deep Tissue Massage Gun: I'm glad to say, the exact brand was sent to me. It performed exactly as it was meant to be. Recently I have had an acute stage of Planter Fascitis. But the symptoms are not exacerbating but instead, the pain threshold is reducing remarkably. The shortcoming with the product is no supporting literature was included for guidance. Hopefully, upon receiving this review, a supporting literature for guidance will be sent to me... Thanks.

Nothing wrong with the product except that it stopped working after being used maybe ten times. The lights still go on but it just makes a clunk sound when trying to start the massage action. I returned it. and exchanged for another of the same model. Amazon was amazing, literally the next day after dropping off the defective model the new one was on my door step. And it worked fine. For a few days. Then it crapped out the same as the first one. I must conclude that it is a weak design that doesn't stand up to use. I also concluded that I am going to have to cough up more money to get a reliable one.

Works great

The Sharper Image Powerboost massager is a well-made, beautifully-cased device that works great for both gentle and more intense massages. I've been using a similar-sized massager, but after a lot of use it's starting to lose its charge quickly. This massager is comfortable even on tender areas, as it has less play and seems less likely to jump around than others I've tried. It comes with 5 attachments, which is fewer than the 15 from my other massager, but I found all the heads are interchangeable on both massagers. The soft attachment on the Sharper Image model is my current fav as it’s firmer than other soft heads but still firm enough so it provides lots of oomph without sacrificing comfort. With 6 speed settings, it has fewer options than my other massager, but the higher speeds are more than enough for me. It also has a feature to increase pressure or speed as you push harder so it doesn’t stall out. In addition, The Sharper Image model is noticeably quieter—10 dB lower according to a sound meter app! Less critical but very nice--The soft yet sturdy case has designated spots for all attachments and the charger (including the power block and not just the cable). The instructions are brief but very clear and designed beautifully---so unlike the garbled, mistranslated and tiny ones often provided for so many products including massagers. Summary of Pros • Very high quality • Quiet • Less jumping around, smoother experience • Automatically increases speed as needed according to how much pressure is applied • Great soft head plus 4 others • Excellent case • Clear and simple instructions Summary of Cons • Price-- $40-$50 more or about twice the price of similar sized generic massagers (though hundreds of dollars cheaper than the big names in the field like Theragun) • Fewer attachments than the similar-sized massage competitors. • Battery life falls well short of the advertised 4½ hours when used on higher settings, though it isn’t a problem for me at this point. • The “ergonomic” grip is fine but I’ve found round handles easier to use than the flatter sided ones on this massager. Overall, if you don't mind and can afford to pay the extra money, this massager offers clear advantages over other massagers. Its disadvantages are minor. If the less costly massagers were at the same price point, I’d definitely vote for The Sharper Image Powerboost. However, based on my experience, you can find effective relief and support from more affordable options if the price difference is an important consideration.

The lowest setting seems like a jackhammer. My partner has a lot of back and shoulder pain. He doesn’t like this massager. It’s not returnable.

I bought one it was broken when I received it.. returned it bought another one it was also broken. They will not turn on when fully charged. I had one for 2 yrs that worked great.. can't seem to find a replacement that works!

This is such a nice massage gun. The different attachments make it very useful for various areas of the body. It is very powerful, easy to use, and great to use on yourself or use for someone else. The noise level is comparable to other handheld massagers I have used and I do not find it particularly loud. The carrying/storage case is a nice bonus!

This is a very nice deep tissue massage gun. It feels very sturdy and well made. I like that it comes with a case to keep everything together and for easy transport. It comes with 5 attachments for use on specific parts of the body. This gun has 6 speeds. I like that this also has a battery meter to let you know when it is fully charged and when the battery is running low. This is simple to operate as there is only one button. I have the light blue model and it is a nice pop of color compared to the other standard black massage guns I have. The one major downside to this massage gun it is that while it feels sturdy, it is very heavy. I would definitely consider the weight if I were gifting this to an elderly person. Even for me, the weight of this massage gun kind of messed with my wrists after awhile. It also has a strong smell out of the box. It smells like a tire store and needs to be aired out. Overall, this is a very good massage gun but it is on the heavier side so that might be a consideration before you purchase.
