Got this item to add to my daycare routine. We do lots of stories and songs and having a visual helps the younger kids stay involved. This felt board is amazing!Other boards just rely on felt on felt to make the items stay in place. This one has Velcro on the back of the pieces to hold them securely. Which is best when you have 24 grabby hands around! These pieces are also thick! They stay firm and vibrant. The board has handles for easy travel and clear pockets inside for storage.My only complaint is that there aren't enough pockets to store all of the pieces by song/story.

This felt board story kit is really cute! There are pieces to act out many popular children's stories/songs like Old Macdonald, The Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Little Red Riding Hood. The pieces must be cut out individually from the larger felt pieces, but it doesn't take too long. The set does come with a pair of children's scissors, however, they do not work at all on this felt, so you will need a different pair. The board itself only has a few strips of velcro on the outside, so it's not as nice to use as a regular felt board with more space to hook pieces. Also, there is not enough room on the inside to store all of the pieces. There are 4 pockets, so 4 of the stories can have their own spot, but the other ones just fall right out if you try to keep them in there, so having a separate storage spot isn't the best. Because of these reasons, plus the fact that I think it is priced too high, I have this product 4 stars.

As a pre k teacher and mom I have to say this story board is great! There’s so many stories and the pieces go on and come off easily! We routinely take it out for story time which gets the kids all involved and they absolutely love it! All the pieces fit inside the little case and the case doubles as the story board for the Velcro pieces! This is definitely worth the money!!!

I ordered this item for my preschool classroom. The package contains 10 options for storytelling or sing along activities. This is a nice variety of felt pieces for the set. The felt pieces are stiffer and firm, not flimsy, which is good for manipulating and ease of use. I have seen better graphics on felt story products. These are just okay, but still useable with young kids who are not very picky, and a good teacher can make the best of these. The story board is nice and holds the pieces well. It only has 4 storage pockets inside, for 10 different sets of felt stories. I would have preferred 10 pockets to keep them separate and easier to use. Also included, for no good or sensible reason, is a pair of pretty cheap scissors. Felt pieces are precut and you simply have to pop them out of the sheet for use. I would not pay $36 for this set. Under $20 is a much more appropriate value for what you get.

Arrived in a resealable/zippable plastic bag. Felt board with all the felt pieces was folded up inside of another plastic bag. Everything appeared brand new. This is one of the nicest felt boards I've seen. It also comes with a pair of small blunt tipped scissors to cut the felt pieces. Board itself opens vertically by unhooking a loop from around a button, easy for kids to manipulate the loop. Outside of the board has six long velcro strips sewn into the board. This is one aspect I love because this can double as a communication board/sentence building or a choice board using PECS (picture cards). Board is lightweight with handles sewn in so it's easy to transport. The inside of the board has four transparent plastic pockets sewn in. There's ten different felt sheets with punch outs of each theme. Felt used is thick and can be folded without leaving resistant creases. All felt pieces have velcro stickers attached to the back. Will need to use the scissors to cut the felt pieces from the board, scissors cut through easily. Felt pieces stay adhered and do not detach from the strips. Images included for the stories and songs match perfectly and they are done so well with the colors and designs. Pockets inside can hold all the felt pieces or PECS cards easily. Would definitely recommend for the initial use as a story board but, would also keep this in mind if you're looking for a PECS/choice board. You can add PECS cards to the bottom two rows for your child to choose from while using the top strip to place the chosen cards, additional cards can be stored inside the pockets.

Okay maybe you won't find everything there - but there are SO MANY pieces! My kid loves it. She's not too far removed from being a toddler and she played with this for HOURS. I look forward to tossing this in the car for those long car rides we have to do where I live (it's remote). There are 10 "sets" of figures - 4 stories and 6 songs. She knew all of them and was eager to play them out. Sometimes, their fates were not the same as the story or song. The poor little dears.That all said, this is pretty tough and sturdy. I don't see there being any problems with my kids tearing it up or anything. I just wish that it had another pocket page in the center with pockets on both sides! Instead I have several plastic zipper bags with the different songs and stories in the center that I just close the sides around. sigh. I really would've liked that extra page. It just does not look as "neat" how I have it. But I needed some way to keep them apart instead of just one big jumble!I think the price point is decent for what you get - it's a LOT of little figures! I only removed one star because I think the storage should have been better. Other than that, it's a great buy and definitely tons of fun for my kids! HIGHLY recommend for car rides (as long as kid is old enough & trustworthy not to put them in their mouth!).
