A Flight to La Palma
My first try at a PilotsEYE vid, but well-worth the money. It's nice to see an entire flight cycle from inside the cockpit and out, and this video does that. From a freezing cold Munich departure (with de-icing), lots of enroute detail to a multi-camera approach and landing at La Palma, this video simply works. The subtitles can be a little off, but overall, non-German speakers won't miss a thing. The side-trip by the 1st Officer around Gran Canaria was interesting, giving the viewer a look at life during a crew layover. The return flight delivered as well, with CG diagrams and flight path info, plus geographic markers to tell the viewer where they were along their journey. The camera work was great, and the sequence of combined views was seamless and intuitive. Throughout, ATC interaction between Captain Lindner, 1st Officer Gross and various ground controllers was expertly done - it felt like you were in a jump-seat in the cockpit with them. This video is highly recommended for aviation enthusiasts, pilots and travelers who would like a behind-the-scenes look at air travel. (not a bad advert for Condor, either!)

I liked it.
+ I liked this DVD, because another film, from you can learn something about aviation. Good spots from different views, even from the tower as well. Expect nice place in the video (La Palma - route destination), . - However in this review I would focus, for that part what I missed from it. This is not a HD film, so don't expect that quality. It was filmed little bit before. On the other hand there should be more explanation, (education) about flying the aircraft, navigation etc.On the whole I would suggest this video, but you need to know, what will you get.

Very watchable and some excellent footage
I bought this for a flight-simulator-mad friend, and borrowed it a few weeks later. It was a great gift. It is indeed all in German but the subtitles are perfectly adequate and explain everything. Next time I'll go for the Blu-ray version as the footage is good enough to put DVD to shame - never thought I'd complain about the quality of DVDs! The views of the Alps and above Italy are spectacular, and the landing at La Palma features great scenery. The camera work is sharp and steady, the audio includes lots of radio traffic and crew comms, and I learned a few extra German words. The presenters are very pleasant and Patricia Gross's coverage of La Palma is good fun.

Very poor pilot eye DVD
Having read some of the reviews for this DVD I thought it will be worth trying out but how wrong I was, firstly unless you completely understand German your gonna enjoy this from start to finish, here's the down side the "subtitles" in English or should I say the lack of them throughout the flight, they are basically about 2 minutes worth everything you hear in the background between the pilots is spoken in German which is very annoying! This is a very basic pilot eye DVD and not worth the asking price so be aware, you can see this DVD on YouTube and most of it is spoken in English hence buying very disappointed outcome..

Only average!
German soundtrack with poor English subtitles, ATC soundtrack not as clear as later releases. If available at a bargin price it might we worth a punt but trust me PilotEye #12 San Francisco and #18 Miami are far superior. Better than #7 Alpen (Vienna-Barcelona) but not worth a 4* review
