Good Choice, beware Dufus Reviews.
As a cabinet it is well priced and does the job well. Well Duh. Shipping was speedy with Prime, no issues.Packaging: the corners are well padded and the sides are a good 2 inches or more spaced away from the heavy duty cardboard, so it would take a lot to penetrate and then do any damage to the cabinet. If it is damaged, a quick look before accepting from carrier would settle the issue. The packaging only has "Stack-on" in small lettering at the lower end of the sides of the box, so it is not obvious to outsiders.Finish of metal and fit were fine, so was the operation of the locking mechanism. The keys are firmly attached and, yes, look before you toss any packing. Well Duh.The foam rest is a bit cheesy, but the application of about $20 for customizing foam or carpet lining makes this cabinet just fine. Add an inexpensive battery light, you can see inside real easy.Another Duh, how many firearms will it hold? I brought the 10 gun size so I can fit in one shotgun, one carbine, one long rifle, one other rifle and two handguns. Gobs of space for scopes, sights and magazines. The door is large enough to "draw" one weapon for quick use in a small scale SHTF moment. Drop a couple of weights in the base if you cannot floor or wall mount the cabinet, it won't tip with the door open. (One side near the door is actually a little overlapped with a smaller cabinet, so it unlikely to tip anyway. Stick 10 long arms inside, well duh, you already know that will be tight.Goes inside a closet and has easy access when I need it, by positioning and a little bit of common sense, it would be a pain in the butt to "relocate" by a burglar, and a "too long" job to jimmy open... with the alarm sounding, good neighbors and an auto dial that comes to me and the cops. For $100 to $130 bucks, it is a good buy. No, it is not a safe... well duh, read the description dufii. (is that plural for Dufus?)Can't afford, or have space for, a safe, get this if you are giving thought to family safety and security for about 3 - 5 firearms. Helps a bit with insurance for firearms loss claims, either by theft or fire.Nope, not fireproof. Duh.

A surprising and gratifying bargain
This cabinet is well designed and very well made (in USA!) of heavy gauge steel. The fit and finish are fine. I was happily surprised by such high quality in a low-priced item; there's nothing Chinesy about it. It is not a true gun safe, but it should defeat a burglar who doesn't have good tools and plenty of time. I plan to mount mine inside a narrow closet, which would make it that much harder to attack effectively. The gun "racks" are simply stick-on foam dividers but hey, they're just something for the guns to lean against, so what the heck. The shelf is too shallow to be very useful, but it can easily be doubled in width by installing a similar-sized board. There's enough depth in the cabinet to allow mounting pistol pockets on the inside of the door. This is the most satisfying purchase I've made in a long time.

Great cabinet for the price
All said, this is a decent cabinet (NOT A SAFE). Any determined thief could break in to this in a matter of a few minutes, but it will keep your guns out of the hands of kids. It was a little shorter than I figured, but it held my long guns without any major issues. The keys were stored in a plastic baggie on the top of the cabinet. The cabinet itself arrived just fine - no dents, dings, or scratches. The ONLY drawback - the shelf had mounting holes designed to mount the shelf all the way against the back of the cabinet. This prevented me from being able to store my long guns along the back of the safe. After some attempts at putting the long guns along the sides, I decided to drill two new holes and mount the shelf farther forward allowing the barrels to fit behind easily.Overall fit, finish, and design of this cabinet is excellent for the price. It makes a great place to store guns and valuables from prying eyes and young hands. In my case, I took the additional step of hiding this cabinet in another cabinet/bookshelf/wall so any thief would have to first locate the hidden cabinet then work their way in to it before getting anything. I expect this to take longer than the average response time for police in my area.

A Good Deal
The Locker is very solid, for not being a safe. It's a cheap locker and I'm satisfied with it. I need it to keep my young neices and nephews away from my fire arms whenever they visit. It's great for locking the fire arms up, but I wouldn't buy it for protection from thieves. It does come with mounting bolts, but they won't stop a thief with 5 mins and a crowbar. It's says '10 gun' but it's not even half that, if you own anything other than shotguns that do not have pistol grips. I have a .308 with a scope and it doesn't fit the rilfe slots. Any AR with the standard front sight won't fit properly and I had to add foam to keep mine from hitting the back of the locker. It's exactly what I needed, and for a good price.BUT if you are looking for an alternative to a safe, or a 'cheap' safe, keep looking.

Excellent deal for the price and keeps your firearms away from children.
I was really amazed when I received it. My expectations were low because this qualified more as a metal cabinet and not a gun "safe" however, it is a very safe gun cabinet. The cabinet is excellent for not being a gun safe. I was able to set one shotgun, a Savage Axis XP, two AR rifles w/ scopes, and two AR pistols with a lot of accessories to lie comfortably in this cabinet. It would help if you kept in mind that this Security Cabinet is not by any means one of these E.M.P Proof Steelwater Heavy Duty Gun Safe that cost $$$. This cabinet is to keep the kids away from your firearms, just that. It was what I needed and for a reasonable price. One downside: the foam pieces that stick to the cabinet walls to hold your weapons ... It truly is challenging to keep anything with these pieces of foam. Also, consider covering the walls with any commercial carpet or EVA Foam Interlocking Tiles to minimize the noise.BTW ... Kudos to the Amazon delivery guys to handle this package with diligence and care.
