After years of trying different sports for our boys, we recently discovered martial arts. We were having attitude and behavioral issues with our eldest and we hoped it would improve his respect and work ethic. It has paid off in spades. I cannot recommend martial arts highly enough. In fact, our whole family is training together now, including my wife. My eldest won fourth place with his kata at our last graduation against the entire academy, not just his intermediate peers.We are converting our little-kid playroom into a home dojo now that the boys are getting older. These gloves are simply one tool we selected.The boys were stoked to add them to our collection and have used them multiple times. It's nice to throw punches and kicks with a little more force behind them. The pads are thick and the grip is comfortable.I expect them to last the remaining years my boys will be in our home. In this case, I'm fine with consumer grade. Recommended.

I’m impressed by these curved punching mitts from FIVING.The mitts have an approximately 2 inch slightly curved pad (most likely EVA foam) with a durable PU leather (polyurethane leather) cover and held up well under extensive use this past weekend.One thing I especially liked is the mitts have what feels like a 2.5-3 inch plastic disc concealed in the palm that helps the holder grip the mitt. Combined with the hook & loop closing strap, that’s a nice design addition.These are a good pair of economy training mitts and I recommend them.

They have a strong odor. Artificial leather and foam smell too bad.
