total and comfortable protection
I purchased this full-face mask as part of my safety gear, and after testing it in various everyday work situations, I can say it offers quite reliable protection. The first thing I noticed was its ergonomic design: it fits snugly against the face without gaps, protecting me from contaminating particles or gases. The panoramic visor provides good visibility, which is key in crisis or evacuation situations. Perfect for our safety.

Ready for the Apocalypse… or Just Some Painting
Haven’t had to go full “end of the world” mode yet, but this gas mask feels like it could handle it. The filters and parts seem solid and well-made—definitely not some flimsy costume piece. If society collapses, catch me pacing my apartment building in full apocalypse gear with this bad boy on (kidding… mostly). In reality, I got it to use while painting so I’m not inhaling fumes like a DIY daredevil. It fits well and I’m able to breathe fine. So far, 10/10 for quality and intimidation factor!

Some stuff to know getting started
This comes with two configurations of filters. The first are flat, round, purple/pink filters that are labelled "Particulate Filter, P1000 with nuisance level organic vapor relief". These have a maximum use time of 40 hours, or should be discarded 30 days after opening the package. The second configuration is what you see in the image connected to the mask labelled "6001CN". These are primarily for organic vapors, but also have several replaceable cotton pads labelled "5N11 NIOSH N95 21J2060 (appears to be authentic but haven't tested). They do not have a maximum use time or expiry date noted, but 6001 filters typically have a shelf life of 6 months once opened and 5 years unopened. 3M's suggestion as to use time is vague, suggesting to simply replace them either after 6 months of use or when they become noticeably clogged/difficult to breathe through.Inside of the mask there is a rubber piece that is shaped like a normal dust mask. This piece didn't seal to my face. It appears to be basically a funnel for your breathe toward the one-way valve, fine to use the mask without but you might encounter fogging (I notice some moisture accumulation while using it this way, but not actual fogging). The lens is NOT dual-pane, so it will fog outdoors unless you use an anti-fog coating (which you shouldn't do on full face masks because you'll end up inhaling it). There is a protective film on the outside of the mask shield that is meant to be removed. It's a little difficult to get started but comes right off once you get a corner up.The seal around the mask itself works great as long as you synch the straps down. When installing either of the filter options, take note that two of the locking lugs on the mask are large and one is small, then look at the mating face on the filter. You need to push them on to the locking lugs in the correct orientation, push inward a bit toward the mask to compress the gasket, and then rotate clockwise to lock them into place. To remove, press inward a bit and rotate counter-clockwise to remove. If you don't pay attention here, the locking lugs on the mask might break.

Great mask
I bought this mask to use while spaying automotive paint on some outdoor gates. This mask worked great. The only downside was that I had to smash my glasses down while using this face mask. It still worked and sealed out the contaminants. I also bought the tear offs for this mask, and they work great as well.

Good setup
Good setup and value with the extra filter options. I've been happy with this mask and would suggest anyone purchasing also purchase the face shield protectors. Once they plastic is scratched/damaged, the mask is pretty much garbage. If you use the plastic screen protectors then the mask will last a long time.

Mask Face Shield is full of bubbles. Hard to See Through
Not only was the retail box damaged but when I went to assemble mask I noticed what looked like something got sprayed on the clear plastic shield. little spots all over shield. Treid glasse cleaner and then realized it was defectively made and the plastic is not clear. Full of little circular spots.Visiblity greatly hampered. One I wear every day or pollen is clearer than brand new GARBAGEDON't waste your money.
