Product description
These mineral blocks will last up to 14 days (as per our recommended sizing chart - see photos), contain more than 15 minerals/vitamins in addition to their food content. They are intended for use as a health or food supplement to your pets usual diet however, they are also great for holiday feeders too, just use the next size up! They will not cloud the water or harm any aquatic life. In fact, the vitamins and minerals will boost your pets immunity and help to support tip top conditions. They do not alter the water parameters such as pH, gH and kH as they contain digestible mineral sources. Some vitamins/minerals will be released into the water column to support filter feeders and even some plants will benefit. The blocks contain a carefully measured balance of calcium, minerals and nutrients to supplement your tank dweller’s usual diet. They will aid in the maintenance of natural balanced water mineral levels that will benefit the health of all aquarium life. Recommended as a regular addition to your aquarium for ultimate long term health benefits. The food contained within the blocks is released slowly and will not cloud the water. These blocks do not increase nitrate or nitrites and will not encourage algae. Information leaflet enclosed with every pack!

Perfect for my team of snails, shrimps and catfish... and the other fish love it too
All my tank mates seem to love spending time around (and on) these mineral blocks. I originally purchased these to provide additional food for my team of snails, shrimp and britstlenose catfish. It turns out everyone in the tank love these blocks. While the snails and catfish spend quite some time on it, all the other fish visit it regularly and give it a nibble.The block is solid and doesn't disolve into the water in the way dry cubes of shrimp do... I have found each block lasts about 7 days. They disolve slowly into the water stream and every fish benefits from that water and is a great way of adding additional minerals into their environment, although Dave (my busy catfish) does enjoy nibbling around the sides of the cube and seems to keep him occupied for quite a bit of time throughout the day. Great
Needed calcium supplement for my pet snail. He/She loves it. I did a bit of research and read that snails need calcium supplements added as pat of their diet when kept in a terrarium so it would help stop them from nibbling on the shells of other snails. I used to feed them ground eggshells sprinkle on their cucumber but this was just much easier.

Great fro shrimp, fish, plecs and snails.
Fish, shrimp, plecs and snails love these little blocks.. State must be taken out after 14 days, but mine rarely last much more than a week, as everything has a nibble at these. Have come very useful for my cherry shrimp, as since putting one of these in not had any troublesome moulting, so the calcium content is good for the shrimps.... So if your finding your having shrimp losses due to troublesome molts then these may help.

Fish love it
Arrived promptly and well packaged. Not seen any of my shrimp go near it yet but I've only had it for a couple weeks, the fish seem to like it. My SAE can often be seen grazing it.It makes very little if no mess as there's no residue left behind if you move the block, so it's not sinking between the substrate which is good news.

Snails and shrimp love them
So do the loaches and pleco as well. They last a good while in medium sized tanks and are quite enjoyed. They don't really do much to increase water hardness mind you.

Good value and dissolve slowly
I have an old turtle so I assuming that calcium blocks help. I like them as they dissolve slowly, sink to the bottom and last about a week to two weeks.
