Andrew's Angry Words Paperback – Picture Book, September 1, 1997

As soon as I got the book, I put it to work. Students read to book to help them understand the impact of verbal anger and most importantly how to make it right.

I bought this for my daycare and it is a great story for children to learn what angry words are

This is a great book for teaching the ripple effect of one's words and actions. I like that the angry words (shown as pictures) are passed from one character to the next and how it affects them. I would have liked it better if the characters were all people (there is a dragon involved) so that it was more grounded in real life...to extend the concept that our words have consequences for other people...not necessarily mythical creatures.

This is a good way to address the issue of angry speech without being too preachy or heavy handed. My little guy responds well to social context stories of behavior, so pleased to have gotten this.

Used in my 3rd grade classroom. Read it aloud every time students have some issues with name calling. Pretty soon, they're quoting from memory!

Great book for children! Teaching about anger!

This is a wonderful book. My 5-year old loves it. It really helps to show children how there words effect others.

for a child with some anger ! I started reading this to my son when about 7 years ago....and I still do sometimes ~ its very special!
