Great keyless entry system!
This is our first experience installing a keyless entry system. The installation was very simple and took no longer than 20 minutes. We just started using it a week ago, and some of the fingers I registered for fingerprint unlock don't work, but I also have quite sweaty hands. I think I may need to re-register some of them. But the codes work flawlessly. It's so convenient not having to take a key out with you. We give our house cleaner a code that is only valid on the days she comes, and it's worked well for us. The app is also very useful in letting you know who is coming in and out of your house. I just hope the battery life is as long as advertised, so we'll see.

C220 is the best Eufy smart lock they kffer
I've tried the higher end palm reading smart lock and it was a complete nightmare. Everybody was either getting locked out or took over 20 minutes to get inside. It then decided to start malfunctioning This one however just works and was easy to set up. Setup was super easy and you can get in quickly It works with all your smart devices and if you already got eufy equipment you are set It has all the needed features the higher end ones have without any of the extra garbage that doesn't work consistently. It's nice to be able to set up temporary codes and fingerprints for people. That would come in handy if you have an air b&b you are renting out and want codes to expire or if you have a cleaning lady or dog sitter. You can remotely unlock the door from your phone at work if the Amazon guy needs to get a package out of sight. I have mine hooked up to my alexas so if I forget to lock one of my doors I can ask her to do it. Highly recommended. Oh, and have a pro locksmith install I it's worth the fee as they'll make sure the unit is installed correctly and the dead bolt has a big enough hole before calibration.

Great lock that makes life easier for everyone, including me.
Great price for a solid well designed product. I looked at a number of locks like this one, but none matched the features, price and quality I wanted. This is my first Eufy product and so far so good. High quality and a pretty easy install and setup. Make sure this will fit properly in your door. See the measurements provided by the company. The app is really pretty easy to use and I love the auto locking feature and the ability to temporarily assign a code to the person that takes care of our cats while we are away. It keeps a log of all the ins and outs and it also had alerts that let you know if the lock is being used. I need to take the time to fix the weather stripping our door so it closes completely, because sometimes the lock can't lock because the door is not fully closed. That is the fault of the door, not the lock and the cool thing is that the app tells me when it tries to automatically lock and failed. The only negative I have seen is that on a rare occassion, the lock seems to glitch when I go to lock it when leaving the house. I just wait a beat and then put my thumb on it again and it works great. The lock looks great and seems to be well built. We use it with Alexa as well and it was easy to integrate into the Alexa app. Fingerprint recognition is the same as what you do on the phone and it has never failed for any of us. We no longer have to worry about making keys or losing them, but it does come with a key in case there is an electical issue of some kind. I am really happy with this purchase from a price to quality and features perspective and highly recommend it.

Great lock that makes life easier
It works well most of the time. I enjoy not having to bring keys and being able to give guests their own access code. It frequently fails to lock in the winter; you have to push the door shut when the inside and outside pressures differ. Maybe it’s my door that is the problem and not the lock. A slightly annoying feature is that it will lock the door even when I just went through it. The timer is based on when it was unlocked and has no idea that you are unloading groceries and will be going through it over and over. Not a deal breaker though. It takes 8 AA batteries, which lasted about 9 months. A rechargeable battery pack would be nicer. Overall, I'm very happy to have it. The installation was simple; it took about 15 minutes. It's really nice not to have to dig out keys or get locked out if you forgot them.

Issue resolved.
EDIT: Eufy support reached out and they were able to resolve my issues. I was surprised that they helped fix the issue. I would buy from them again because the support was excellent. ORIGINAL: I will start with the positive. The lock was easy to install. It feels pretty solid and having the option to access the house by finger print, the app, keypad, and key is pretty cool. Thank god you have all of those option because you will need them as frequently the finger print sensor and app failed to allow me into my house. Once even the keypad stopped working and I was locked out of my house for some time as my key was inside the house. Another ding is no Apple HomeKit integration. I would return the product as I plan on removing it and buying a more reliable lock but the return time has elapsed. I rarely use my front door as I usually enter through my garage so I wasn't aware how unreliable the lock was until recently. Another issue I have is the key isn't a standard key so it can be a little difficult to have a copy made that will work. After some research I was told that the key they use isn't a standard size and can easily be mixed up for the wrong blank when a copy is being made leading to a key that is cut properly but won't fit inside your lock. Not sure how true this is but if you are having issues making a copy this could be the reason. If everything worked consistently this would be a good lock that I would recommend. Perhaps I just have a bad one. I would recommend testing it out and making sure you return within the window if you have the same issues I have.

Keypad malfunctions when exposed to moisture.
Please, please, please — DO NOT BUY THIS. Don’t waste your money. If you’ve already bought it and it’s still within the 18-month warranty period, contact support immediately if it starts randomly beeping after rain or during humid mornings. Mine started doing this intermittently after rain when it was less than a year old. I ignored it at first, thinking it would eventually go away. Instead, it gradually got worse. Now it beeps almost every day, starting early in the morning, and it happens every time it rains. What makes this especially frustrating is that this is an outdoor product that is constantly exposed to weather, yet the keypad apparently cannot handle moisture properly. Search the name of this product on Reddit and you’ll find many people reporting the exact same issue. Unfortunately, Eufy’s customer support has been terrible. Their first response was basically that since my lock was past the 18-month warranty, they couldn’t replace it, but they could offer me a small discount if I bought another one. You have to push back. After I complained, an actual person finally responded, apologized, said the previous response had been AI-generated, and offered technical support. My biggest mistake was waiting because I thought the problem might get better. The issue started before my warranty expired but became much worse afterward. If you notice this at all, contact them BEFORE the 18-month warranty expires. Even after a real person got involved, their technical support required me to wait until the beeping happened again, record a video with a timestamp, provide exact incident times, submit app and device logs within 24 hours, and follow a long list of troubleshooting steps. At that point, we were done. We went to Home Depot and bought a simple mechanical lock instead. I finally have peace of mind. I will never buy another Eufy lock, and I cannot recommend this product. I bought it because Eufy is a well-known brand and I saw many people in my neighborhood using their products. I seriously regret it.

Works great and no more Smart hub needed !
I've owned the C220 lock for a month and have found it to work really well. It took about 10 minutes to install and no modifications to my door were needed. The lock is well constructed and is heavy. The management app is well done and easy to navigate. Things to note: 1. Some older people can have hard to read fingerprints. This is not specific to Eufy. Use a code number for them instead if this is a problem. 2. The battery life on my lock has been great as my wifi is close by. The further away the lock is from your WIFI access point, the more demand there is on the batteries. This is why some people report great battery life while others complain it's terrible. I believe it took 8 batteries.. it should last a long time. 3. No more smart hub!! Good riddance. Adding and removing codes or fingerprints is FINALLY easy! This might be the biggest difference. 4. The touch keypad CAN be seen in direct sunlight 5. I did not try the geofencing but it has the capability, provided everyone in the family has the app on their phone. It could auto-lock and auto unlock if configured to do so. 6. I did not test doorbell or camera integration - but it has that feature. Gripes: These are small but need to be noted 1. For renters: temporary/scheduled access codes work fine but there is no integration with text messaging (or email) to create the code and send it in a single process. Heck, the app is already managed on your mobile - why not do this? Now I have to separately send a text with all the details when this could have been easier. 2. When using a number codes, you have to press the keypad once to wake it up, enter the code, and then press the enter key on the bottom right of the panel. Why do I need to press enter? Why not open the lock after a second if no additional keys are pressed and the code is correct? Now you have to tell potential renters of this requirement to press the enter key. My point is: the enter key is not be obvious to people unfamiliar with the lock. 3. On the app, the battery life is shown as a tiny battery picture with lines filled in for battery life remaining. Would it have killed them to put a percentage number next to it? Overall, this is the best lock that I have tried and I have tried about 6 others to date. I hope you found this review useful.

Excellent quality affordable smart lock
I purchased the Eufy Smart lock along with 2 others off of Amazon at the same time. Hands down, the Eufy was the best in craftsmanship and quality. It took about 30min to have it installed. It fits the opening of my other regular deadbolt. It not only makes my condo door look more appealing. It's well made and sturdy and heavy. Setting up the phone app only took about 15min and it's very easy to use. I have had 0 problems with the finger print funtion, one time every time. I love the code support option keypad that my family use. I was able to set up individual codes and even if there not used daily, there haven't been any issues. Even though there is a 2nd knob key lock. I really don't have to use it, because the deadbolt is very tight and secure. The batteries that came with it is still working and shows that the batteries want need to be changed for months. I set it to auto lock and without fail it does everytime. I keypad lighing is great day and night. I don't have to double check it. You can adjust the lock volume. So , I have it loud enough to hear someone coming in, but not alarming. I love the app, because, not only does it notify me that my door is locked when I leave, it alerts me when anyone else does as well. It was more expensive then the other two, however it's well worth the price. As far as installation. If you lay everything out and follow the instructions it's quick and easy. Or you can use Utube. Depending on your bolt hole if you're using the same one, you may have to chisel it out some as the bolt is longer. However, even with doing that it on took 30 min. Initially he didn't and it worked, however chiseling it out with a screwdriver, made it very secure. Money well spent. So impressed my neighbor across from me purchased one. I've been wanting to get one and kept putting it off. This lock has changed my life, with limited use of one hand. I don't have to dig in my purse, I can unlock before getting to the door. After, I enter it locks behind me. I do keep a key on my key ring for back up just in case. Well worth the price. This is a purchase that you want regret.

Convenient Smart Lock With Reliable Fingerprint Access
I’ve been using the eufy Security Smart Lock C220 for a few weeks now and overall I’m really happy with it. Installation was easier than expected and took me around 25–30 minutes with just a screwdriver. The instructions in the app were straightforward. The fingerprint reader works surprisingly well. It unlocks quickly most of the time, even when my hands are a little damp or cold. I also like having multiple ways to unlock the door, fingerprint, keypad, app control, or a physical key as backup. The built-in Wi-Fi is a big plus because I didn’t need to buy a separate hub. The app has been useful for checking if the door is locked and for letting family members in remotely. Notifications are fairly quick too. Battery life seems solid so far, although I haven’t had it long enough to confirm the full 8 months yet. A couple small downsides: the keypad can be slightly hard to see at night unless the porch light is on, and the app setup took a few tries to connect to Wi-Fi initially. Once connected though, it’s been stable. Overall, this feels like a good balance between price, convenience, and security. It’s a great upgrade if you want keyless entry without spending a fortune on a high-end smart lock.
