Did a great job and easy to use
Just got this cleaner today and absolutely loved it! We have a 4 month old puppy who has taken a toll on the carpet in one bed room. One cleaning got all the stains out and the carpet looks great. I was beyond pleased with the results. I may do another cleaning just to get all the dander and dirt out as the water wasn’t pulling up completely clean but from start to finish, it looks amazing after one use.The cleaner does have a small water container as expected being compact. I was able to do the whole room, a normal size second bedroom, before the tank was empty. Light weight and easy to use. Would highly recommend!

PRETTY GOOD OVERALL
We had a professional carpet cleaner do the entire house back in April with fair/good results. The problem is we have a very light-colored (almost white) beige carpet with high traffic area blackish track marks in and out of the den and master bedroom. I tried carpet sprays, I tried powdered carpet cleaners, etc. to no avail, which was why we called the carpet cleaner back in April. So he got most of the high traffic area marks to look maybe 80-90% better, but he did not clean the area against the front of the couch bc he couldn't get the edge of his machine close enough to the couch. He should have just moved the darn couch a foot back like I did a few days ago so he could get to all the carpet. In any event after only three months, we started to see the same dirty high traffic areas reappearing even though we never wear shoes in the house and the carpets in our den and master bedroom looked like they needed a light cleaning again because it was not really 100% when the carpet cleaner finished. He said it was an old carpet and hey what can you do? Rather than have the carpet cleaner come back out for an afternoon with the need to start moving furniture, tables, plants etc. again, I figured why not give this machine a try? It was worth it because this Hoover has done a good job overall, I did need to go over the carpet in the den 2-3 times to get rid of the blackish high traffic areas and did the area in front of the couch three times because the professional carpet cleaner didn't bother to clean there. I asked a family member to look at the entire den when I was done and they said 100% better. It actually looks BETTER than when the professional carpet cleaner cleaned it! This is a 20-year old carpet in a heavily used area and it actually looks really good now. As noted, I had to do the den twice and the black high traffic marks three times, but so what? The bottom line is the carpet looks great now. Overall, I am really impressed with this machine. Everything works the way it says and it is a snap to use. PLUS the suction is so good the carpets are barely damp when done and are dry (at least in our low humidity climate in the desert) within a few hours, even though I used a few full tanks of solution in one room (den). With the clear brush cover you can see all the dirty cleaning solution being sucked back into the dirty water tank as you go over the carpet. I do note that I have to go pretty slow back and forth on both the cleaning and suction strokes in order to let the machine roller clean the carpet and then to allow it to suction out as much liquid as possible, but no big deal, the results are worth it. I had a little difficulty getting the HOSE attachment plugged in to the machine to do upholstery, but I used a touch of silicone spray on a rag where the water nozzle plugs into the machine and that fixed it. I've seen a few complaints that the cleaning solution bottle needs refilled often or the dirty water tank needs emptying often. Yes, you will need to refill the cleaning solution container a few times if you go slow enough to actually allow the machine to clean the carpet in a large area, and the dirty water tank fills up fast (it also has an audible change in tone to let you know you need to empty it), but no big deal. I keep a 5-gallon plastic bucket in the room I'm cleaning and empty the dirty water in there and just take the one big bucket out to empty it when I 'm done. I would advise maybe NOT emptying the dirty water container into a sink or toilet because there may be lint, dirt, etc. in there which may clog drain pipes?Bottom line - very impressive results for a great price, and the entire unit and attachments seem to be high quality. It is also REALLY easy to rinse the roller areas and dirty water tank when done. THE ONLY GRIPE I HAVE IS I DID NOT GET ANY 'SAMPLE" CLEANING SOLUTION WITH THE UNIT DESPITE THE BOX AND INSTUCTIONS SAYING IT COMES IN THE BOX. HAD I NOT ORDERED A CONTAINER OF THE HOOVER OXY SOLUTION WHICH WAS DELEIVERED SAME TIME AS THE MACHINE I WOULD HAVE HAD NO CLEANING SOLUTION AT ALL. Overall, I am really satisfied with this carpet cleaner and I wish I would have bought one years ago.

Compact and Effective, but a Bit Tough to Clean
I recently bought the Hoover PowerDash Pet carpet cleaner, and it’s been a solid performer. It’s lightweight and easy to move around; perfect for quick clean-ups on rugs and stairs. The suction is strong and dries the carpet fairly quickly, which is great if you have pets. It lifts pet hair and small stains really well, and the separate clean and dirty water tanks make setup and use pretty straightforward. The only downside is that it’s a bit difficult to clean the machine itself. The dirty water tank and brush area can be tricky to rinse out completely, especially if pet hair or debris gets stuck. Also, the tanks are on the smaller side, so you may need to refill and empty them often during larger clean-ups. Still, for the size and price, it does a great job.

Exactly what I wanted to get the job done
Very good for what I wanted it to do. I have several cats and as we all know with pets they make messes. Got tired of doing it all by hand. Also wanted the just clean and freshen up my carpet. Loved the price and the size..extremely easy to use and move around the house. Does do a very good job of cleaning. Not great but good. Did find out that if you go over the area in several different directions it does a better job. The suction is very good. Doesn't leave the carpet extremely wet. Had a small fan going and it was dry in about 2 hours. It's capacity is not the greatest. Runs out of cleaner/water solutions quickly. Easy to dump. Biggest thing I hate is the cord. Needs to be able to hook up at the top of the handle. It's always in the way if you don't hold it up. Finally used a tie strap to do just that. If you have very dirty carpets, this will do a good job for you but you will have to do a lot of passes. I did 4 on one heavier traffic area before the water even started to come up clean. Did 6 in total for clear water. Some small spots still need a tad bit of hand work to get spot out. Even with over soaking with water from a cup to just totally saturated the area. This little guy did suck it all up when just slowly going over the area several times. I say do a professional cleaning and then use this to keep up on messes and maintaining your carpet. Make sure you do a full vacuum first of your carpets if you have pets. This will suck up a lot of pet hair. Not supper hard to get out of the dirty tub but does make it a lot easier

Great Value Carpet Cleaner – Perfect for Pet Owners
I didn’t expect this machine to work as well as it does, especially given the price point. It’s easy to handle, not too heavy, and gets the job done. The sample solution it came with worked fine, but I switched to a Costco brand since I clean my carpets regularly. With a young pup who has occasional accidents, I’ve been using this about every two weeks. So far, it’s performed well and completely removed any odors. The cord is a bit short, but it’s long enough to clean one full bedroom before needing to switch outlets. Since most of my home has wood floors, I use it primarily in the bedroom and office, and the power has been more than sufficient. I can’t speak for heavily soiled carpets, but for pet-related messes, it works great for my needs.

Lightweight, easy to use, and does what it says.
Exactly as advertised. It's lightweight, not a heavy duty machine for a deep clean. But I did one room because of pet stains and it did great. Quick and easy. The water containers are easy to remove and reinstall. Puts out a good amount of water and the suction picks it back up very well. Brush works very well, maybe a bit aggressive even.
