I would prefer backboard to be a little wider. Assembly is fairly simple. It's easier to have a 2nd person to help.

II got it for my son for Christmas but I just build it today. I love everything about the metal structure but no so happy about the base, its plastic and really light weight, even if I feel it with water the wind will blow it down so easy. My original plan is to secure it into the ground with concrete so I don’t have to worry about it falling and breaking.

This is an excellent hoop system. It’s high quality, very sturdy, stable, and seemingly built for longevity. Don’t be intimidated by assembly. Instead, be realistically prepared. It will take a few hours from unboxing to standing it upright. So allocate time accordingly. The assembly is straightforward with good, clear instructions. It’s lots of steps and you will likely need a second set of hands at various points. All tools you’ll need, come in the box. The only thing you’ll need to buy separately is sand to weigh it down. You can use other forms of weight as well but I highly recommend you use sand and water together to ensure this thing stays upright. It is heavy - you don’t want this to fall on yourself - let alone a child. So have sand and water on hand. Other than that, we’ve played everyday since we’ve assembled it. Mind you, a bunch of boys playing and hitting the backboard repeatedly, and the thing still looks new! No cracks, no issues. This is excellent value for the money, and I highly recommend this!

The way this thing is designed, the main upright is just held into place with a pin that just sits into the base but it is not actually fastened to the base. This means too much wind on the backboard can cause this to lift right out.I had it adjusted to the lowest possible height for my 5yo, and yet this is what happened on a windy day. As you can see, it is weighted down with plenty of sand in and on the base. The base did not tip. That whole thing just popped right off the base.I've only had it up for 3 months and the rim is now badly bent from the fall. You can also see that the fasteners are already beginning to rust. I am so sad and frustrated about this thing! This was a birthday gift for my kid, and I was really looking forward to using it together now that the weather is getting nicer. I was so crushed to see it destroyed like this when I got home from work today.

Two parts arrived damaged, but customer service was phenomenal and made sure it was handled promptly and went above and beyond to make sure they made it right. It's hard to find a company these days who stands behind their products and service at the level heropro demonstrated. We have 2 happy kids and happy parents. Thank you Heropro!

Put sandbags or something heavy on the base!It’s a nice looking system but it’s topheavy and doesn’t have a strong metal used for the hoop.After one week of having installed this, we had a windstorm with gust up to 60 mph and it knocked it over. The backboard did not break, but the hoop itself smashed in a lot.We will put sandbags on the base from now on.Other than that, it’s a nice system.
