Great insight into 12 sick monsters.
I've read a good few of Kellers books now and this one is again very informative and very interesting. If you find learning about some of the most depraved and sick human beings to walk the earth interesting then this is the book for you. It has left me wanting to look closer at some of the killers I hadn't taken much notice of previously such as Dennis Rader, Randy Kraft and Gary Ridgeway.

Over the top, not in the good way.
Nothing special and controversial. This book has many half-empty pages and the letters are too big. Overall experience is quite ok but I require a little more, then simple wikipedia reprint, from book that introduces vicious killers.

An interesting read
I find true crime interesting and although I have heard of most of these cases, some I had not read about in any detail. There is enough information about each of the killers to keep you interested without it being too in depth. You can always research further if a particular case sparks your interest. The author writes in an easy to understand and compelling tone which makes you want to keep reading. Not a bad book on this subject at all.

Very interesting read
I've read about the majority of these serial killers before or watched documentaries about them but I liked the authors no nonsense approach and his indepth characterization of each one. I particularly enjoyed reading his conclusionary chapter. Will be reading more from the series.

Nice as a ‘whistle stop tour’
Quick intro to each of the ten serial killers featured. I’d just finished reading Ann Rule’s book on Bundy (stranger beside me, also very good) so I knew that section pretty well. Best used as a starting point I think, then read more about the ones that interest you most.

Interesting
Good read.....only scored 4 stars as was already familiar with most featured in this book but it was still an interesting read, that was easy to follow.Recommended read if interested in true crime cases.

creepy and absurd
the cover speaks for it self . this book is full of insane psychopaths im pretty sure he didn't need to mention the 100+ kills a serial killer commited it was just the same thing over and over again. maybe one of the serial murders because by the way in the dictionary the word (serial) means, to be done in the same way a multitude of times. if it didn't waste all this writing for that i would of given it ***** stars

An average read
Overall it was a nice read with lots of details of the crimes. If you have watched the documetries about the mentioned serial killers like Ted Bundy, Garry Ridgeway etc you will find these information repeating. I felt that way while reading. So you can give it a go just for the fun of reading.

A real eye opener
I had heard of most of these killers but had no idea the body count was so high in many cases. What also shocked me was the viciousness involved and ease in which so many of them committed the crimes without arousing suspicion from the people surrounding them ... some even being pulled in for questioning by police and then let go without further investigation. Makes my skin crawl to think that such animals can exist among us.
