Great tool for any mechanic. You'll wonder how you managed without one!
If you like working on cars, you'll love a ratchet wrench and wonder how you managed without one. If you don't know (forgive me if you do), the big difference between a ratchet wrench and an impact wrench is the action:An impact wrench uses a hammer action to hit the nut or bolt loose. You must always use impact sockets to avoid them shattering and those sockets will be 6 point as 12 point will ruin the nut or bolt head. Impact wrenches are great for undoing stubborn fittings, but next to useless for tightening them as they will never be at the right torque. A 450nm impact wrench will easily remove wheel nuts, but will put them back on at 4 times their torque value!A ratchet wrench, however, doesn't use a hammer action at all, just a simple turning action, just like a normal socket set wrench. Therefore you put much less damaging hammering action on the nut/bolt and can use 12 point non-impact sockets AND when tightening, you put much less damaging torque so won't strip the threads. In use, just like a normal socket set wrench, you use hand force to loosen the bolt. Once it starts to turn by hand, you then press the button and the head spins and undoes the bolt completely. The reverse is true: Press the button until the bolt is fully tightened and the wrench stops turning and then finish it off by manually applying force just as you would with a hand ratchet.Because you don't have to manually make the ratchet motion, it is also great for confined spaces. As long as you can fit it over the bolt, that is the only space you need. Press the button and the bolt undoes. No need for lots of space either side whilst you try and undo something. It will breeze through engine covers or undertrays - anything where there are a load of nuts or bolts. They just fly off. You really will wonder how you managed without one. It's probably my favourite tool and certainly the most usefulIt's well made and a great accessory for any mechanic.

Great piece of kit.
Got this to go with my Sealey 3/8" drive impact driver - so had the batteries and charger. Brilliant tool. Use for stripping & rebuilding mowers of all sizes every day. Quite powerful for size and weight. Only downside I can see is some may overload (no slip clutch or overload protection that I can see) the ratchet by trying slacken tighter bolts/nuts with the trigger before slackening them off first.Another bonus was I bought the ratchet as "Used - Very Good - Minor cosmetic imperfections" at £37.58 however when delivered it was in perfect condition, making it a cracking buy.

Be Aware, No Battery or Charger Included!
I'm posting this review before I have had a chance to try this wrench out and will review it again when I have. Why haven't I been able to use it you may ask, because it didn't come with a battery or charger! I know the advert stated at the time of purchase "Body Only" but in the product's technical details section where it shows: "Batteries required?" it states "No".So, to my cost I thought that this meant that it didn't come with any sockets or other accessories.I've now had to order a battery and charger from another supplier. This has actually cost me more in the long run than buying the Sealey CP1202KIT Li-Ion Ratchet Wrench Drive Kit with 2 Batteries/Charger and Bag, 12 V, Red/Black, 3/8-Inch for £99 from Amazon.I've contacted both Amazon and the supplier and asked them to make it clear in their advert that there is no battery or charger included. On the other hand the wrench looks well made, it's reasurringly heavy and other online reviews are very positive. Can't wait to use it.Update on 11th November 2017. I actually got to use this tool yesterday on the job I'd had to delay while awaiting the arrival of the batteries and charger. On the plus side the batteries did arrive fully charged so I was able to crack on with the job. The wrench is a great bit of kit. It made the removal and refitting of two bolts that I couldn't work on with an ordinary ratchet due to lack of space and absolute piece of cake. I also used it to remove and refit the ten screws which secure the tray beneath the engine on my car. Again much easier than endlessly swinging away with an ordinary ratchet. So it was worth the wait in the long run. Four stars however because the advert still hasn't been amended to make it clear that batteries are not included with this item. If I were buying one again I'd go for the kit which includes two batteries, charger and bag which is the cheaper option.

Sealey Wrench
An excellent tool which will make your life a lot easier. Not a heavy duty tool but does a good job in many situations. Well recommended.

Preis Leistung perfekt
Akkus.

After a dud, I got a good one
First one had a weird malfunction: it would keep spinning for a second after releasing the button. I was sent a new one after returning.Only other remark is that the housing doesn't have very tight seams: some motor oil from my hands got in and now it just keeps leaking oil even after cleaning multiple times. I think the plastic seams are just a bit too deep or something. Other more premium tools like my Makita never had this issue after using them with oily hands.
