Shark HV305 Rocket Ultralight Portable Upright Vacuum Cleaner w/ Car Detail Kit

FINALLY-A VACUUM THAT ACTUALLY THOROUGHLY CLEANS HARDWOODS and has cleaned our rugs better than any other vacuum we have ever purchased. This is everything it is represented to be. We have a dog that sheds (long hair), and not even the iRobot going after it daily gave us the same result. IRobot and 2 other vacuums are now relegated to part-time work when 2 of us are cleaning at the same time. This does it more thoroughly, and just as fast. With the long cord, we can plug and reach several rooms at once. Buy this. It is the real deal.UPDATE REGARDING WARRANTY AND SERVICE: The hose in the floor part of this unit cracked, diminishing suction. Called the warranty department, (I've had the unit 20 months.) The department personnel were professional, efficient and prompt. They replaced my floor base under the warranty. If only everything worked this way. Still perfect product and great company.

I love this vacuum. I have tolerated bad vacuum cleaners for so long and decided it was finally time to invest in a good one. I am so glad I chose this brand and model. It works like a dream. The only negatives are that it is a bit heavier than I realized it would be and not being able to have it stand on it's own like conventional vacuums is more irritating than I thought it would be. However, even knowing those two things, I would still buy this vacuum all over again. I have two dogs so pet hair is a huge issue for us and this vacuum gets it all up and is convenient enough to use daily.

I have a Kirby and a Silver King vacuum cleaner but due to recent surgery to fix an incisional hernia have a weight restriction of 19lbs. Decided to look for a vacuum that was lighter weight. Absolutely love the Shark Rocket HV305. Very strong suction power and love the additional available tool attachments that my other two vacuums don't offer. So glad I bought this.Unfortunately, can't say much about Shark's customer service. I received the Shark vacuum on January 2, 2015. Enclosed was a promo code to receive 25% of ordering additional tools that expired on December 31, 2014. I wanted to order some additional tools so called Shark and asked if they had another promo code I could use since this one had expired before receiving the Shark Hv305. They couldn't/wouldn't offer any assistance in this situation. Not very happy with their customer service!!!

Wow, what a rocket! Purchased this unit for the home, as there are lower back and knee problems for the users and lugging around a larger Shark vacuum up and down stairs - although not overly burdensome - did require extra effort. Now, with this ultralite portable upright, such is no longer problematic. What is rather amazing is that this smaller, portable vacuum outperforms the larger Shark vacuum and works well on carpet or tile as well as has the option of a removable "engine" for use cleaning the interior of cars, sofas and the like. Well done, Shark, this vacuum does bite, but in a good way.

Love this vacuum, it is so light and easy to maneuver, also am able to dust the top of my curtains with no trouble. I really enjoy using it. Although the dust canister is small I am able to complete one room then empty it and do the next room, I just carry a plastic grocery bag with me from room to room, when I'm done vacuuming just throw the bag in the trash. I just want to add that I have a 3 bedroom 2 bath home so the size does not matter with the Shark.

Easy to use, easy to empty, easy to hang up on the included hook. Great for stairs too

Loves to vacuum with my new handy Shark Rocket! Even emptying the canister is rewarding, I love to see all the gunk it has sucked out of my carpet. Watch out, carpet makers! Next time I dress my floors, it won't be with a carpet, carpets are dust, dirt, grime, pet hair collectors and my Shark vacuum cleaners have opened my eyes to that fact more than any other vacuum. (I've had three, passed each on to my each of my kids and bought a new one!)

Previously we owned a Bissell that weighed about a ton. When I was searching for a new vacuum, my wife reminded me (on hourly basis) that the vacuum should be light weight. We checked out this (or very similar) model in Target and it felt great. After reading online reviews, I decided to order it via Amazon. Thus far I have no complains. It is light weight; it has adequate power. Also, it comes with a bunch of accessories to clean all sorts of surfaces.
