Bad ass Zippo
It arrived packeged very nice in a gift box. This Zippo looks badass with the Jack Daniels on it. The Jack Daniel's label looks and feels to be made of some kind of rubber, definitely hard to describe but it seems like it would be pretty durable. The case itself is not a mirror finish like some people were thinking it would be. It's more of a worn look , I think it is looks cool ,and adds it's to the character of the lighter. I installed a double torch butane insert and it totally kicks ass. If you are a Jack Daniels fan definitely get this one

Looks great becareful the emblem is guled on.
Emblem is guled on had it in my pocket, for a day the lower half of the emblem started to slide down on the lighter. was not rough or letting the lighter sit burning away, it's just not made to be used I guess may look nice on a shelf as a fancy do nothing or I got a lemon.I've had Zippo products for years never had a problem with emblems falling off or sliding down the lighter, some were new and some were used and abused I gotten in the past. This is the first lighter I have had to press back on the emblem and return to a seller.

2 American Classics, what's not to like?
I don't smoke, my BBQ grill has electronic starter, I don't burn candles and rarely go out camping, so what on earth I am getting this lighter?Well, I got $10 to burn (excuse the pun) and Zippo and Jack Daniel's are still American made, time to support the good old USA.And I found on youtube one of the videos that actually was very helpful in prepping a new Zippo which prior to watching I have no idea, here's the link:[...]In fact when I followed video and opened mine, the wick was just scrunched to one side and didn't even thread through the opening.

Cool Zippo!
This zippo is polished brass, with the jack daniels emblem stuck on#1 misconception about these emblem zippos, they might look like the design is engraved on the zippo, but it is actually just a polished brass zippo with a metal emblem glued on, so in this case, the jack daniels logo is a metal engraved peice of metal thats glued onto the lighter, its quite obvious in real lifenevertheless, it's still a great lighter, the emblem is quite weighty, so dont expect it to stand up by itself or the lightest breeze will knock it overAlso the insert on the inside that contains the actual lighter mechanism is brass, so its a cool match.Tip: take the insert and switch it with a lighter that uses a chrome insert and it will have nice contrastOverall, the glue seems to be some sort of epoxy, strong stuff, so its pretty durable, just dont try to hit the emblem off. Nice gift for any smoker/non smoker/ dad

Heavy, Professional, Stylish, and SMELLY!
I am happy with this lighter overall.PROS:Good build quality, this thing won't break!Feels heavy and like the real deal.beautiful designCONS:This thing eats up lighter fluid. Make sure to buy a lot.Can be smelly. If you are using this to light a cigarette, be warned that it may have a lighter fluid tinge to it.I have always used BIC lighters, but now I use this and have never been happier with my lighter.

Excellent Zippo Craftsmanship
You get exactly what you expect. The high quality craftsmanship of Zippo never disappoints. The only things worth mentioning is that: It does not come pre-fueled, and that for some reason the wick is dam near impossible to pull up.The fuel part isn't a big deal as Zippo fuel is cheap and even the smallest option will last you 3-4 refuels. As for the wick I'm pretty sure that's a mistake with just the lighter I got. Haven't had the issue with any of the other Zippo lighters I've bought so it's probably just a one time thing.

This thing is great. Zippo plain and simply don't mess around
This thing is great. Zippo plain and simply don't mess around. I recently quit smokin but when I did smoke I always carried my 8 ball zippo with me everywhere. For about 7 years I carried that thing. Through all the drunken, drug infested parties ive been to, Some one finally stole my lighter and I was heartbroken for a long time, so I took it as a sign that I should probably quit. I simply bought this one just to have a nice lighter that I can carry with me from my mid 20's. But I will say that when I did smoke, I looked pretty stylish doing it, on top of being wicked good looking. js

Amazing. Buy it.
Just a typical zippo. Good quality, lights well, if you've never used a zippo before this is a good start. Cheap and cheerful, works great. I swear by my zippo lighters, I own a few. These are great. Well worth buying. (if you've never used a zippo make sure you buy lighter fluid...doesn't have to be official zippo lighter fluid. Amazon do a set for just under £6 with 125ml fuel, flints & 1 spare wick. Worth buying with it)

At last, a mate for my key ring.
Once upon a time, I used to own a 'Zippo' lighter. Reliable, providing you had flints and petrol. I lost it many, many years ago. I don't know why I scoured available models at that time but I did; perhaps I was fed up with 'disposable gas lighters'.I once had a keyring bought for me (actually his assistant bought it for me), which came attached to a bottle of 'Jack Daniels'. I have kept that keyring as a 'keepsake' for over thirty years and still it holds my house keys. The 'Zippo' lighter was the perfect mate.So long as you keep it fed with wicks and flints and fuel, it will last forever.

Poor finish let's it down
Consi9its an official Zippo I'm really disappointed with the overall finish on this item. The box is poor quality and the lighter isn't finished as well as previous Zippos I've owned

Made the right choice...
Out of the selection here, I made the right choice. The Jack Daniels logo is heat transferred as opposed to stuck on or a sticker, so looks great. Everything else is what you would expect from a Zippo lighter.

Nice Present
This is a good quality Zippo lighter and much to my surprise I noticed the petrol taste has even disappeared (compared to a much older zippo lighter my OH has). He's a Jack Daniels fan too so this just had to be purchased as a present! The markings are distinctive and clear and make this lighter stand out from a plain Zippo. The flame is wind resistant and strong in all weathers.Very happy with the purchase, would highly recommend. Purchased it at a good price too.
