Good quality recording
Visually, this looks like Telefunken M251, a very popular and very expensive tube mic known for how it captures female vocals. Inside, it's actually a JFET microphone. As primarily a guitar player, I am familiar with and like the clarity and top end of JFET transistors and op amps in my signal chain. I'm not an expert in microphones, so what I can say is this one sounds pretty good to my ears for recording male and female voices, and it responds well to adjusting placement. In terms of construction, this feels less substantial than some of my other pro microphones - the metal tubing is thinner and the threaded pieces are not as beefy, but I don't plan to abuse it and took care when disassembling/reassembling. There are some undocumented DIP switches on the circuit board which I am excited to play with as well.

Warmer sounding LDC
Great packaging / presentation with this mic. Nice latched carry-case and good accessories (color-matched shock mount and a foam pop filter).Build quality is good but I was surprised how lightweight the mic was. This can be a positive, as it means you can get away with using a less heavy-duty mic stand etc. However, performance is NOT lightweight!I expected a mic with a detailed, possibly brittle / scratchy, top end (most of my cheaper condensers are like this) but was pleasantly surprised to find it actually has a much smoother top end than I’m used to getting on mics in this price bracket. The official frequency response curve is very slightly scooped with a noticeable drop off around 10kHz. Definitely not a flat response but I’d say it has a little character! For voiceover and singing (with my voice), recordings had a pleasant quality.Recording environment was slightly challenging (mostly untreated room, AC was active) but was able to get a usable level for recording both vocals and acoustic guitar.Tested with the foam screen and it did an ok job but you could hear that it darkened the sound slightly.Acoustic guitar seemed to reveal a slightly booming low end, definitely a warmer mic, but nothing some EQ wouldn’t fix in the mix. Was actually very happy with how natural my guitar sounded overall.Using a high-pass filter on my interface (Audient iD44) removed all the low end rumble when recording spoken word and I liked the recordings with minimal / no EQ necessary.Self noise / noise floor was pretty hard to gauge because of the challenges in my recording space. However, I don’t hear any audible high end hiss in my recordings. There are a lot of options in this price bracket but, given the solid accessories and warmer than usual top end, I feel this stands out as being worth exploring for someone’s first mic etc.If you have a higher pitch / raspy voice, this mic might work well for you. I’d take this over an AT2020 in a heartbeat.

Don't bother.
First of all, unlike the product description, this is NOT a TUBE microphone. Also, I wonder how the seller even bothered to sell this product for the price they're asking. One star for the product design and color. Everything else--the sound, build quality, and price--is way below the expectations for a microphone at this price point. Honestly, I wouldn't even pay $20 for this microphone. I think the seller should just quickly stop selling this product, since I feel anyone who buys this will without hesitation return it.

Good design
I really like the design of this microphone especially because I like gold and silver combination. It's a stylish and nice microphone for streaming, doing podcasts and other work with a voice. However it's probably not for singing. Great holder too.

Good looking mic but frequency response looks a bit odd
Note that this is not a tube mic. The preamp inside consists of two opamps, one looks to be a JFET rectifier (?) and another is an NPN high voltage opamp. I included some pictures of the circuitboard inside in case someone is curious.I have not had the chance to test the audio quality yet. I won’t be able to compare this to a real 251 mic but I can try to take my own frequency response reading and use that to compare it with the frequency curve of the real 251.Looking at the curves spec in the manual, it has a bit of an odd frequency response for what is claimed to be a mic for vocals. There’s a slight dip in 1k where vocals tend to be prominent in the mix. There’s also a boost in 20hz -200hz where as the real 251 has a slight cut in these frequency range. The good news is this mic has a boost in 3k - 6k which is similar to what the real 251 does.Having said that, I don’t think this would be the best mic for vocals. There’s a lot of low and low mids that would make vocals sound muddy. I would probably use this mic more for acoustic string instruments like guitar, double bass, viola, cello, and violins. Again, I will need to test this mic in different context to see how well it responds. I’ll update this review with my findings. For now I will fine it a 5 star and I will update the rating according after some thorough testing.

Disappointing.
I was really looking forward to receiving this microphone. The gold color would have been a nice change from my all-black setup. Unfortunately, I was incredibly disappointed with its performance. The packaging was impressive, and setup was easy. However, after plugging it in and engaging the 48-volt phantom power, the output was extremely low, even with the preamp maxed out. This is unusual as my other 48v mics work perfectly fine under the same conditions. I tried different inputs and cables, but the problem persisted.

Great Mic!
It is a good microphone with a nice gold style, I own other microphones similar to this one, and I love how it performs with acoustic instruments, I'm not a fan of voice recording through this microphone just because I feel that the voice comes out a bit dry, but that is my preferences you might be able to get a cool voice effect with this mic, is a good microphone and I will recommend it.

Microphone
Has awesome sound. Looks impressive. The yellow is unique and gives almost an retro feel. Heavy and high quality. I have wanted one forever and highly impressed with it's performance. Definitely great value!
