2017 Ford F150 3.5L Ecoboost Oil Catch Can
The kit came complete with the oil catch can, hoses, hose clamps, the correct PVC fittings for my Ford F150 as well as the mounting bracket and all the hardware required for installation. As others have mentioned, there are no instructions, but if you google the installation for your make and model there are plenty of installation videos available online. The kit quality is very good. (I cannot comment on the actual functionality as this kit was just installed, but the concept is pretty simple and there should be no reason it does not work as intended). The oil can is made of billet aluminum. For my application, I installed the mounting bracket on the plastic battery box using one of the existing holes on the flange previously used for the battery cable clip. I lined up the bracket and drilled a second hole (closer to the firewall). The clips provided were then installed on the flange and the bolts went through the top.The most difficult part was installing the oil can itself to the bracket. You have to first remove the catch can bottom so you can install/tighten the two small Allen bolts and lock nuts (see picture #3). Also, you should remove the two male barbed hose fittings (which came pre-attached to the hoses) and install it on the oil can prior to connecting the hoses. I did not need to cut the hoses to length (although they were slightly long) as there was plenty of room to route the extra hose under the intake manifold cover (which needs to removed prior to installation for my application). Finally, the kit came with a ball of stainless steel wool to be placed at the bottom of the catch can. I did not use this as everything I read mentioned how stainless steel would react and degrade when coming in contact with the aluminum catch can which makes perfect sense.Overall a very good kit that I would recommend to anyone who is relatively mechanical.

Simple Engine Protection
Very nice design. It comes with metal mesh that can be inserted into the inlet side of the catch can to help condense oil out of the air stream. I like the accessible dipstick that allows you to see the level of the can's contents without having to open the can. The hardware seems very well built and all needed parts are supplied.

Good bang for your buck.
First off for the price point it's not bad and actually really good quality. A few things you should note though is that the bracket is too long (I had to cut 2 inches off for it to fit under my hood. Not a big deal though). Another thing is that the bolts that come with it are not great and strip out really easy (I used some fender bolts that I had thay worked really well). Also I suggest using thread tape on the hose connections on the can, they are a looser fit and with a little thread tape they tighten down without the fear of stripping them since they are a cheaper aluminum. The final thing I suggest is DO NOT USE THE HOSE CLAMPS IT COMES WITH. I replaced mine with a much high quality hose clamp I purchased from NAPA and they don't strip out like the ones that it came with. Only time will tell how long it holds up and how well it works.

It is catching oil as it is intended to.
It is too early to tell how well designed or durable this item is, so 4 stars. All I needed for my installation came with the canister. This catch can has a dipstick so you don't need to twist it open to check the level. This is straightforward in the installation and hook-up. I have it on a 2012 Coyote. It's a recommended add-on as this engine has direct fuel injection and the intake valves can become locked with carbon as they are not cleaned during the combustion phase like a port injection engine. I've had it in for around one hundred miles and it's catching goo. Engines circulate the fumes coming out of the crankcase and put them through the combustion cycle. This system takes the oil-rich gasses coming out of the engine at the PVC valve and passes them through a chamber where they collect and fall into the tub. The exit hose goes into the combustion chambers to be burned to control emissions. When you order it, check YouTube as there are dozens of good installation videos there.2012 F150 5.0 4x4

Works well, but the hoses are too short.
I installed in a 2022 f150 hybrid powerboost 3.5l. The mounts they show in the instructions are not available to you in the hybrid so I had to find another location. If the hoses were about 10 inches longer it would be perfect, but as they are, I managed to hook them up but they're tight and I'm not crazy about the tension on the plastic fitting. All that being said, I've had it installed for about 6000kms now and it's working well.
