KJV Giant Print Reference Bible, Personal Size Imitation Leather – Large Print, January 1, 1900

I see many reviews stating that this is not a giant print bible. Maybe so, but the print is very large - especially compared to almost all bibles in this physical size. This book has 1814 pages, not including the map pages at the end. How can you make a "personal size", "giant" print bible with all the features that this book has - especially the nice, hand-holdable size?My measurements of this black, bonded leather bible is: 1.5 inches thick, 8.75 inches high, and 6 inches wide.The NASB is a great compromise between a very literal translation and a paraphrase, but tends to lean to the more literal side without losing readability. This is an accurate bible suitable for study.I have many bibles this size and on some the font size is probably 7 to 8 and the bible is about the same physical size. I would estimate this bible's actual font size to be about 12 point. To see for yourself before buying this version, do a web search for "bible font size PDF" and compare the 12 point font with the bible that you have now. You will need to print the page to a printer to compare with your bible.So my final summary is this:Good:1. Great personal size2. Good size font - about 11.5 to 12 point font3. The type is nice and dark, making it even easier to read.4. The paper is a very creamy white that is lined up with the lines on the opposite side. This enhances readability.5. Compared to similar bibles (CSB, NLT, etc.) the price is very affordable.Bad: The binding and leather quality are mediocre, not the highest quality.I am unable to find anything else wrong with this bible.If you are interested in a larger print version, there is a NASB with much larger print, but is is also a larger bible:NASB Giant Print Reference Bible (Black Genuine Leather)

For the price I paid for this Bible, it is very good. It is basic, but very good quality paper and print as well as easy-to-read size. The end of the verse reference system is good--shows where there are similar passages elsewhere in the bible. There is a concordance. The cover will not be durable for heavy use but the binding otherwise is VERY GOOD. It is sewn--there is a technical name for that, but as long as you don't have ultra-high expectations for the cover, you will really like it. I would suggest that this book be covered with clear Contact paper or the edges sealed with clear packing tape because they are sharp. But it looks better the way it is. This version only has 3 maps.I got this book because I bought "Strong's Concise Concordance And Vine's Concise Dictionary Of The Bible Two Bible Reference Classics In One Handy Volume" based on the King James Bible and needed a large print KJV for reference. This came to me with a very strong smell to it and it will probably take some time to dissipate. The print on the pages is also a tad light or thin but completely readable and the larger print is very easy on the eyes. With daily use, i don't see this Bible lasting any more than 5 years without falling apart, maybe 10 if it is treated well. That being said, this was a fantastic deal and i don't think i could get a better value for my $5. I want to thank Zondervan or the seller for making this available at such an affordable price. I was worried about the quality of this Bible for the price but my worries were happily sent to rest when it came to my door. This will be my study / beat-around Bible until i inevitably give it away one day. If you have a day or 3 to air the funky smell out of the pages, this is a great deal. It could smell like broccoli and it wouldn't phase me because the words are so sweet!( The only way i wouldn't suggest this Bible is if you are very sensitive to strong chemical smells. I might have gotten a particularly stinky one but i have to assume all of these smell this way. It isn't enough to keep me from reading it, but it is a very strong smell and might offend a light nose)God Bless

I ordered this Bible and I really enjoy using it. It ordered one each for me and my household. It is really a giant print bible. My family and I enjoy having a family Bible Study, meditation and quiet time. We enjoy using it both and home and in Church. We all enjoy taking turns to read and share passages.

I love the actual bible, font size, navigation etc, but the cover does feel cheap (kind of like thick stock paper). In my opinion, it's a perfect bible to give to a new believer, but for regular reading I'd go with the leather cover.

Just what I was looking for. Need it for church. My pastor use this version when he preach. It's the perfect size, 9 iches long, 5 1/2 inches wide, and 1 1/2 inches thick.....Fits in my purse just fine, I wear +125 reading glasses, I don't need any glasses to read it. I see it perfectly clear. I absolutely love it. The font is the perfect size, not too big or too small. And the best part, I got my book for a steal of a deal, under $3 dollars. I love Amazon. I buy, just about everything, especially books from them.

Just as advertised. Was bought used but in excellent condition. Couple of places on cover cleaned off just by rubbing. Guilded edges were faded but some of the pages were stuck together from the guilding process like it had never been read.

For £12.99, this Bible is amazing value. It has easy to read giant font, it's easy enough to carry to church etc, looks, feels and is great quality. Beautiful bonded leather in deep burgundy with gilt page edging, complete with referencing, maps and a modest, but useful 67 page concordance.Out of the many Bibles that I've bought, this is truly, by far the best bargain that I've found. Well recommended.
