PERFECT BLUETOOTH HEAPHONES FOR GYM/RUNNING
Used now for a couple of hours most days over last 3 weeks & has not needed recharging yet so excellent battery life. Was having problems before with in-ear headphones channelling sweat into inner ear, which blocked sound, was uncomfortable & required constant drying during workouts - happy to report no such problems with this over-ear design. The ear pads do not absorb moisture & the headphones themselves are sweat-proof & do not channel sweat. They grip well on the head & remain comfy for 2+ hours use. The speakers stay in place over the ears right where you need the sound delivered & the quality & level of sound is on-par with other leisure headphones I've used, both in-ear type & over-head banded type. Some reviews reported bluetooth signal drop-out but I've had no such experience with my set, even when walking 40 or 50 metres away from my phone. Although no SD card included, there is a slot available for one if you prefer not to use bluetooth, which is an excellent back-up feature although as-yet untested personally. The card slot & charging port are both covered by rubber tabs, reducing moisture ingress. The 4 on-board control buttons mounted on right hand side are push-type, not touch-sensitive, so there is no chance of accidental activation when towelling away sweat, which drove me crazy on previous in-ear headphones. Each button has braille-type markings so very easy to locate & use without too much thought. Only time will tell how durable these headphones really are but build quality seems very good so far & it is VERY obvious these actually HAVE been developed for runners by runners as advertised. I particularly like the spoken audio confirmation on power up/down/connection - trust me, the message you hear will get you raring to go! A small, soft drawstring case is included, as is a charging cable & clear instructions, & the headphones fold down to an incredibly compact size that's very comparable to the charging case of my earbuds - will fit in any pocket when not in use. I am an audio engineer & a music lover who also works out regularly & I highly recommend these headphones. Value for money, functionality & quality are all excellent. I couldn't want more from a set of exercise headphones & I have nothing bad to say about them - I'm glad the occasional poor review didn't put me off buying these, they are my new favourite piece of kit for the gym. If they only last 1 year I feel I'd had my money's worth & wouldn't hesitate to buy again. I will update this review if anything changes... UPDATE... 2 months further daily usage & still very happy. Invested in microSD card for standalone operation & worked immediately. They recognise when card on-board so didn't even have to switch manually away from bluetooth mode. The same music files actually play louder when on SD card & I presume battery will last longer too so double bonus. Although USB charging works well, my Laptop wouldn't recognise headphones for direct file transfer so had to remove card for this. Operating the buttons is remarkably simple & intuitive even when wearing - play/pause, volume up/down, next/last track & bluetooth/card mode switching all just a button press away. Makes me laugh other reviews don't like the in-built voice notifications - I agree they sound a bit cheesy but are very clear, unlike the broken-English of some bluetooth speakers I've had. Must have run & cycled hundreds of miles now wearing these, as well as many hours of aerobic exercise, & they've been rock solid: no movement, no getting in the way & easy to forget you're wearing, so much so I've nearly taken in the shower a couple of times.

Good headphones but very bass-heavy EQ must be used.
These are well-made headphones (which are comfortable and will stay on), but it should be noted that out of the box they sound absolutely awful - shrill mid and top with no bass. The second in-built EQ mode being even worse. The advertised claim of "deep bass" needs clarification - however, the hardware itself is good, so a very bass-heavy EQ (attenuating mids by ~12dB and tops by ~10dB - and I am not a bass-heavy listener) can be used to turn them into genuinely good-sounding phones. Without the ability to send a customised EQ to them (and they have no native app for this unlike say Anker Soundcore or Miiego), it would in my opinion be impossible to get acceptable-sounding music from them. If you're prepared to do something like this to your taste then you're in business and I would recommend them. Perhaps it would be possible for them to revise the default EQs or introduce an app in future.

Just what I was looking for.
I got these because I've recently needed to use hearing aids, so my usual in ear headphones weren't suitable any more. These over ear headphones are brilliant! I was wondering if they would stay on with three things over my ear (I wear glasses too), but so far there hasn't been a problem. They connected easily via Bluetooth to my phone and the sound is good - I mostly listen to audible as I'm running along, but music is fine too. Charging is by a USB mini to USB and a suitable cable is provided. When charging the light glows red then goes off when done. They fit well and are light and comfortable to wear. I'm very pleased with them.

Curate's Egg - Good in parts
What I like: + On ear, not in ear - I was getting irritation and impacted wax from in-ear phones. + I don't get hot and sweaty compared with speakers with big padded ear cups. + Sound is loud enough (mostly) - I listen to spoken word podcasts and its fine except when there is a gym class on and I'd need to switch to an in-ear or ear-cup version to block out the loud music. + More than adequate battery life - better than competing models I have tried. + Stay in place during exercise - weights, stretches, road and path running at 5mpk. Not sure about terrain running, fast road running or HIT classes. What I don't like: - They keep turning ON during transit (in pocket, in back pack, in waist pack) - I find myself missing calls and notifications. There needs to be a "lock off" function as it is too easy for light pressure or other contact to switch the phones on. - I struggle to get the speakers in the correct orientation* - normally a couple of attempts before everything springs into position and I can put the phones on. I am pretty good when it comes to spatial reasoning but perhaps not good enough. - I'm never sure which button is where and often press the wrong one*. Maybe bigger or more "pips". - Fine for about an hour but uncomfortable (pressure and hard contact surface) if I wear any longer. *Note: I only wear the phones once or twice a week.

Painful to wear.
Very uncomfortable right from the start. I have a small head but these press so tightly onto my ears they have caused bruising and pain after just a few minutes. I tried padding the ear pieces with cotton wool to soften them but they are still too painful to wear.. The quality is pretty good regarding sound but I really don't expect to be in pain while using them. I've never had this problem with any others. Waste of money and as for comfort, they're not fit for purpose.

I love these and the battery last very long as well. I’ll be listening for about 2-4 hours once per week while I clean my house and won’t have to charge but every 3 months or so.

As a runner of 10+ years, who's completed 16 marathons I'm always on the lookout for good quality, reasonable priced running equipment. These headphones are exactly that... good quality for a low cost. Likes: Open headphone design allows for ambient noise. This us helpful when running in busy areas with cars, cyclists, and other pedestrians. The fit is comfortable. I've ran with these a few times now and am happy with them and have no sore spots on my ears or neck. The headphones have a soft pad that is comfortable against my ears. Runars can be worn with hats and glasses too! Easy to pair with phone and the buttons are simple to use even while running, although they did take some getting used to. Dislikes: The buttons volume, switching songs, etc took some time getting used to. Not necessarily a dislike but it was disturbing to my run at first. Final thoughs: For the price you can't get any better than Runar headphones. These are exactly what I wanted.
