The "stainless steel" mesh lids began rusting on day 3 of the first time using.

I have purchased other sprouters and was not very pleased with the results. I then was using my mason jars with cheese cloth...worked but kind messy. This was easy peasy. Had great success. Love the stand that allows the excess water drain. I don't like using plastic I much prefer the metal screens but I can't respond to those who had rust issues because I have only had them a week and so far so good. I would recommend keeping them dry when not in use. (Don't leave them in the sink.)All in all I love my sprouting set up now. I would purchase it again.

These are not 'sprouting' stands. They are pot lid holders. They are completely worthless for sprouting.
