Awesome die grinder
This Sunex die grinder is the best I've used. I had an old IR die grinder fail after about 15 years, and bought this and an equivalent Air Cat die grinder as replacements. This is quite powerful without being out of control. With a carbide bit this thing positively shreds steel, making tedious jobs go quickly. As a result the Air Cat mostly sits in the tool drawer, while I use this for every job.

Great tool for professionals
If you're looking for a die grinder, just buy this one already, I was considering a 1hp snap on one, but this one was wayyyy cheaper and pretty much the same power. This little thing exceeded my expectations. Would recommend this to anyone who uses a die grinder all day.

powerful grinder that runs very smoothly
Works well. Balanced better than the one it replaced so less vibration with the same carbide bits as before. For best bit and tool life monitor the bit and tool output shaft temp. It is powerful enough to hold speed under heavy load and too much heat will damage your bit and possibly the bearings in the grinder as well.

Its a beast !
So much better than expected. Its the envy of the shop. The only sownside, its a bit bulky. It has 1 horse! Of course its going to be bigger ! I cant wait to buy the right angle die grinder.

Will cut what you put in front of it.
Used mine for the first time today and it’s just what I needed. Does not bog out at all like most others do. Just hope it lasts for a long time .

A BEAST!
OK - this thing is the most powerful die grinder I have every used. Truly a beast and has some decent weight to it. Don't look elsewhere - just get it. You will not be upset with this. It takes everything you can throw at it. It does use A LOT of air turned up. If you have a smaller compressor, you ill not be able to use it continuously if you can not control your supply air pressure. KEEP IT OILED.

This thing does not play around.
I wasn't sure if a whole horsepower was going to make a great difference but once I held this thing I started to believe it would. It's a little on the thick side. Then I used it.Let me paint you a picture, I do a lot of engine swaps at work on cargo tractors and heavy equipment. One common issue I encounter while doing these engine swaps is the factory welds on the frame have cracked almost all the way through or completely separated. This tools primary function is to eat away all the old, crappy welds from the factory and to leave me a nice groove to fill in with the arc welder.I keep a carbide burr in this die grinder and I gotta say, compared to every other die grinder I've borrowed in our shop this thing is an absolute performer. For one, it just sounds powerful but for cutting away welds and grooving frames, this thing EATS the metal. I need to wear more PPE because I'm getting completely showered in metal shavings! I mean it's literally raining metal! This tool will hardly slow down at all no matter how forceful I am.Another incredible tool from Sunex and I'll be sure to buy another should this one ever die!

It's got the power to resist binding.
Snapped the heads off two dies, and still hasn't bound up.

Powerful and feels solid!
When I buy a cheap tool from a name I don't know, I assume it's going to be garbage. Happily, this Sunex 1HP die grinder surprised me.I have other die grinders, all .33 or .4 HP from Ingersoll-Rand; in comparison the Sunex is noticeably larger and louder, and way more powerful. With a 1/2" carbide burr digging into steel, I can easily stall the smaller grinders, but the 1HP Sunex is clearly in a different class.I've been using the Sunex every day for the last couple of weeks, if it lasts even for six months it will be excellent value. If it lasts for years, it will be the best deal on a die grinder ever. I think it will last for years, it feels well-built and sturdy. Strongly recommended.

Unstoppable power!!
Fantastic die grinder. All the power you could ask for and top notch build quality. Well worth the price and rivals grinders that cost double, triple or more from tool trucks. Worth every penny and would buy again without hesitation.

Awesome
It's loud, but putting some earplugs in exhaust drowns it out and still maintains the power...worth every penny
