I like that I’m able to check if my bunny has enough hay from the outside of his hutch. I was worried that this wasn’t going to work very well. What I did was thought about how the little guy was going to eat his hay and if his nose would nudge the container of hay away from the wire window where he was trying to eat, it would cause for the hay to escape the bottom of the bin as he is nudging with his nose. Thus making a mess of my floor. So I secured the rack with a bungee cord and that did the trick. There isn’t much of a mess on the floor below. It’s tiny little pieces of hay that fell through the cracks. If they had something that secured the bottom of the rack to the wire I would have given it five stars. But other than that it’s holding up pretty good with the bungee cord.

I bought this for the side of my rex bunny's x-pen because anything I put inside of his pen, he just knocks all of the hay out. This product would be much better if there was something holding it to the pen at the bottom because my bun would just push on it with his nose, and the bottom would come up, and a bunch of hay would be on the floor. I wished this had been designed better so it would work for me.

I purchased this for my guinea pigs as I was previously using the one that came with the living world deluxe guinea pig cage. This has the same structure as a hay rack, but it lacks the latches at the bottom. This only has two side latches that hang onto the cage - the bottom has no latches so it is technically open. Hypothetically, if your guinea pig pushes the bottom plastic of the rack while trying to eat the hay, all the hay would fall onto your floor... I had to get a plastic clip to make sure that the hay rack was securely attached at the bottom so the hay would not fall out. I would recommend this item due to the lack of similar structured hay racks on Amazon. However, they still need to make large improvements on the item.

This holds a decent amount of hay. I like that it is on the outside of the cage to save room inside. It stays in place nicely. I do notice some hay on the floor outside of the cage that slips out the bottom, but it's minimal. This is the best hay holder for guinea pigs that I have ever used.

I expected it to be a little bigger, I might buy a second one. I love this thing so much, easier to feed the guinea pigs

We really like this!! It holds the hay securely, piggies can get it easily and best of all we don't have to try to fit our hand inside the cage anymore. So easy for us to give our boys hay now!

The product does it's job but if you're looking for a medium sized bunny or smaller this is too big. It's as big as the cage walls which makes it hard for the bun to reach all of the hay.

This is such a great space-saving hay holder! We're very happy with this product!
