This product caused significant bruising on my grandmothers legs, however it was sturdy and it worked! I ultimately returned it because my grandmother had dementia and no will to use this product.

Very sturdy and works well. Would like it better if I could get a wheelchair up closer.

my husband had a stroke & they used a form of this in rehab, to move his with ease. pretty easy to put together. The seat moves up & down (no pin release) expandable legs. don’t know what i would have done without this, lightweight

Please read the full review below.My initial review and modifications were based upon my experience in attempting to put the lift together and deciding on returning it.I commend Medihoist on their final decision to accept my Return and process my Refund. As stated, I was only out the expense of having to pay UPS to pick it up, as I could not drop it off, due to weight.I also commend the seller on making my recommended changes to their installation instructions, to include posting the instruction video.That being said, I would encourage you to ensure that you someone to assist you with the installation. I did. He pulled the bars apart, and I tried to insert the knee support. But, looking at the video, you need to support the base while pulling the bars, and it definitely takes some effort.Another piece of advice that I would offer is that if you have a PT, please consult them before making a purchase. My brother's PT is who tried to help me put it together, after me and his aide failed to get it separated enough. Again, we weren't supporting the base as we attempted to pull the arms of the frame. The PT advised that although this lift would work, if we could get it together, he would not recommend using it for extended periods in my brother's case. Which is why, after the frustration of it not fitting together, I decided to return it for a refund.Unfortunately, I experienced a lot of hassle with my initial attempts to return it. However, again I commend the seller for apologizing for the inconvenience and accepting my return....Initial Review and EditsI placed my order after reading the various reviews on this product, including one from a Customer who reported that they were unable to attach the knee support. They reported the issue, received a replacement lift, and it worked fine.I received my lift yesterday, and attempted to put it together. But, the knee support would not fit the frame, regardless of how I tried to angle it. Although the bar was obviously too wide for the frame, I had a friend try to put it together, and they experienced the same issue. We worked on it together, and still could not get it to fit.The machine is heavy and seems very sturdy.I gave it a 3 Rating, as I did not want to give it a negative rating at this time. As I am still waiting to see if the Seller will replace it. Unfortunately, I was only given the opportunity to request a Return, and not a Replacement.My Return was approved, and I was sent a Mailing Label. But, instructed that I would need to PAY SHIPPING...I contacted Amazon, advising them that I no longer wish to replace the item and asking them to arrange Pick-Up, as I cannot lift it to return.I am now waiting on someone to contact me regarding pickup.I am sure that this is a good piece of equipment to have, when it fits together properly. But, it is NOT for me.I have since had several back and back emails with the seller Medihoist, who insists that if I cannot install it correctly, it is operational error. I tried. My brother's aide and I tried to do it. His male therapist tried pulling the bars apart. All, to no avail.This product is too much work. I no longer want, nor need it. I only wish for the seller to accept my Return and Refund my Payment in Full.Sorry.... but, this makes me not want to give a product a chance when it shows Often Returned. I tried this lift because the Reviews were not that bad. Now, I know better.I need Medihoist to please show that you can provide good Customer Service in listening to their customers and responding appropriately.I received a new update from Medihoist claiming "It has never occurred before". Wanting me to submit an installation video of the equipment, which I have already taken apart, and do NOT plan to put back together. And, informing that if I return the lift "Once the item is received, it will undergo a thorough quality inspection, to ensure that it arrives in it's original, undamaged condition." And, talking about restocking fees of 10% to 50% "in case of damage such as scratches or dents". For real? We tried to force the piece in place, so it probably does have a scratch.All this hassle for an item that specifically says in the description that it is Returnable.I have been a loyal Amazon Prime customer for years, and have never had to deal with so much hassle.Update: I received a full refund, once Medihoist received the lift. As a result, I was only out the $20 fee that I had to pay UPS to pick it up. That, and the stress of working with their customer service team on the return. I am glad to see that they did eventually work to try to appease this customer.

I have asked for a replacement, because I had trouble attach the knee support to the lift, they respondedquickly, they came to pick up the old one the next day and delivered me another one a day later. I was able to get it done and happily use it right way, the main thing is my hubby can stand up on his own with this tool and I can move him from chair to bed and bed to chair with ease without hurting my back, this is a life saver for me, I am very happy with it.Addition to my comment above: I ordered a chair mat for carpet for this tool, it makes the movement easier especially when u need to turn it around. Also, if you need to pick up the person in the chair, you need to make sure there is enough space under the chair to operate.

It’s a great concept, but unfortunately the grab bar to pull yourself up is to far away so it make using it difficult, and the sides are open so the person sitting in it is not very secure

Ordered for my elderly grandfather. I was pretty straightforward and easy to use. Made a big difference.

It’s not as comfortable as the one I used in the NHC, but it gets the job done. The transfers well is smooth. The ride is comfortable as far as the wheels and casters are concerned. The shin braces are uncomfortable. They’re hard and they dig into your hands, but we did find a sheep skin Cover that makes it tolerable after I paid $650. I see two comparable ones for $400 very disappointing so make sure you compare overall I’m pretty happy. It’s a great transfer to all.
