Flippin' Good
I'm not really a fan of G.I. Joe but I've been a fan of the classified series for some time now. I usually buy them for customs and every time I open one, I am impressed with how well-made these figures are. This Cobra Eel has great sculpt and design. The scuba grear, mask, and flippers are easy to attach to the figure and feels safe to put on and off without the worry of breaking the figure or ruining the paint. They fit really well and smoothly. The harpoon gun and the knife are feel sturdy. The overall articulation is excellent. Great value for money.

Minor changes from other version... still an amazing recreation of the original!
The Cobra Eel's are a fan-favorite from the original toyline. The first version created for the Classified line was excellent and they didn't stray too far from it on this "Retro" version. This colors are slightly different and the Cobra logo on the back of the rebreather backpack is different from the first release. Other than that, it's essentially the same figure with different packaging. While some fans complained that the first release reused too much from Torpedo, I never had any issues with it.Should you buy it if you already have the first release? That's really up to you. If you are on a budget and don't need another one, it's safe to skip this version. However, a lot of folks didn't get one of the original release, in some areas they were hard to find. So this is a great way to get a popular figure. Also, this is another one of those "Army Builder" figures that is good to have multiple copies of.For me, it's a easy yes. I loved the original, the first Classified version and now this Retro version. A wonderful example of what the Classified series can be for the fans.

Card backs rule
These are my favorite releases for the classified series. The packaging quality is finally being stepped up so they don’t arrive folded.. This one arrived perfect and as with all my card backs will be part of the dad collection. The figure looks great and there are subtle changes from the box release. Good attention to detail and accessories.

Best Eels figure since ARAH
This is the standard for Eels in the classified line. The regular release was darn good but the retro version blows it out of the water.
