The other camera holder we ordered obscured part of the license plate but this one does not & the tailgate lets down all the way.

Visibility is great for anyone weather condition. Fits perfectly with the bracket.

I wasn't sure if this would interfere with the tailgate on my 2002 Tundra. It isn't clear on the pictures, but it comes down over the license plate by an inch or so, rather than sticking up at all. You could adjust it slightly by bending the metal, but it worked fine for me out of the box.
