Lovely detail for the scale and an unusual model
Growing up, I was always a Matchbox fan - Hot Wheels were cartoony, toyish, next to the 1-75 Superfast era of the '70s and early '80s, with suspension and metal bases. But now the tables have turned, and I'm a fairly committed, if casual, Hot Wheels collector. So, if you've been looking at the RLC models enviously, these Car Culture ones are MUCH better value and suit both kids and collectors - they're just as 'playable with' as the mainline models, albeit a bit more expensive, and the detail is much nicer – yet if you never take the very expensive Red Line creations out of their boxes, you don't see the opening features and things anyway. Those are often in sealed blister packs like these Car Culture models. For comparison look at the pics - crude, because I don't want to unseal the boxes, but you can see that the Mercedes 300SL detail and value is very close (sans opening parts) on the more affordable and readily available collection.I got the Countach, Volvo and Mercedes because the local toy shop would get stock for a nanosecond before collectors and 'flip it for a profit' hawks cleared the shelves, and the price was reasonable when compared to travel, fuel, parking and disappointment (plus a discount applied at the time).I got the models I ordered, packed well, and in good condition, so I wonder if the reviews mentioning wrong models have come from third-party sellers or marketplace rather than Amazon directly. This review is of the Volvo 142 but may show up for other models in the collection, and who ever thought you'd get a 1:64-scale Volvo saloon of this age? Tampo print is accurate and crisp, and the colour is lovely, over a casting that while it's on lowered/modified wheels and aesthetic still has the clarity and proportion of a good scale model rather than a mere toy. It has a plastic base, but some Premium/Car Culture type models do feature metal.

Nice little car.
My friend had a real Nissan Sylvia. I got this as novelty gift. He was very pleased with it.

Eye catching!
The BASF design is stunning, and while the small size of the car doesn't fully do it justice, it is still eyecatching on a shelf.

Nice to see premium HW on here
Got this for a great price seriously, the card itself is slightly bent due to packaging/transit but apart from that it's a neat addition to my collection and not too fussed considering it was a cracking deal!
